Magic bursting?
Do you guys magic burst at all? And if so what? I like to magic burst mind blast or blazing bound when I have it set for more dual wield.
Not really, even with a macro theres always someone to screw up ur sc.
Almost never unless the mob is exceptionally resistant to physical damage. The sword swings I loose out on while casting for the marginal damage that magical blu spells provide, coupled with the gouging mp cost make me rarely ever use them.

I generally wouldn't burst for damage. You do get a big number but it's almost always not better damage overall given the cast time involved, MP cost, and lack of a dedicated spell setup. The only spells I really look to burst if possible are MP Drainkiss and Magic Hammer.
At events, I always go for an MB. I typically have gotten with my DD partner and he will do a <call> or w/e. But yeah, I do go for MB's. I remember back in the day when MB's were imperative in every xp party.
Think this is pertaining to Blue Mage magic bursting. Not BLM, RDM, SCH.
