DSR basically causes your GPU to render the scene at a multiplied resolution of your current set resolution (1.2x - 6x). It then shrinks the image back down to your actual running resolution, which does a lot to eliminate aliasing and sharpen the image up in general. It can be used with most Fermi (400 series and 500 series), Kepler (600 series and 700 series), or Maxwell (900 series) based GPU, just install the newest drivers and enable it in nVidia control panel.
Two notes:
1) DSR disables custom resolutions. If you run a game in a window with a custom resolution, you'll need to set the resolution manually rather than from a dropdown.
2) DSR requires fullscreen mode to work. Windowed and Borderless Windowed are not supported.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 Final Fantasy XII
Xenosage I/II/III
Odin Sphere Kingdom Hearts .hack//All 4 of them
Tales of the Abyss
Disgaea
LaPucelle Tactics
I'll play Valkyria Chronicles starting Tuesday first since I just bought it and haven't played it. But after that I'mma get my FF on and binge X/XII/VII/VIII and IX if I can find it.
Edit: For some reason I read that as "What games are you going to play?"
The main goal was to get X and XII working. No real reason, just wanted to play them again.
Of the bold I can make .iso of later if you really need, I have physical copies of all but the .hack, but I'm pretty sure I have rips of those and the GU already.
Ahahaha, nope! Not dropping 180k for base weapon for NIN relic.
Get 3 friends and go beat the first boss and pop the coffer before the second one, almost always drops the knife blades. You get like 3 relic base items out of each coffer

Something to do sometime when people are on. 1:30 am isn't exactly NA prime time. ._.
pop some air holes in that, it doesn't look like you left much room for air to get in.
the water doesnt go all the way to the top. It is only temporary until tomorrow morning where Im going to get him a new tank with a real hood, not this plastic *** :c

still need to get oxygen in there, regardless of how much air is in there.

Crafting is for people who don't spend all of their time stabbing (and now cutting) things to death. :D
I need to at least get that base weapon, just broke and haven't even done anything much over the past few days/week other then ST runs and ... that's it lol.

Good stuff. But it's also very taxing performance wise, so if your GPU isn't up to snuff, framerate suffers dramatically.
But it's a good option when custom resolutions aren't available, and the pre-set ones are underwhelming when you have more than enough headroom.
Think I'm gonna go with the Switch.
Also I was under the impression that supersample AA used a very similar technique to DSR. Not 100% sure what the main difference would be aside from more selective rendering vs entire frames.

supersample AA doesn't blow up the image, so to speak. it duplicates each pixel 2-4 times and shrinks it all back down to help eliminate aliasing; this can lead to blurriness and what not, this is often SGSS, or sparse grid supersampling. actual supersampling is a much more efficient and elegant solution by producing "new" pixels.
The only issue with downsampling xiv, is that the ui elements don't scale well to the new resolution. So everything is extremely small, didn't try zooming them all in to higher levels.
As someone else said as well, on only one card it is very taxing on the system, only tried it in mist so far, which has very few people and it gave me just a little bit of a frame rate drop.
I'd imagine in a more congested area it'd grind my system to a halt.
It may get a little bit better with dx11 whenever they finally come out with it.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
