Immortals are Ephramadian Pirates' enemies.
I know ^^;, but BLU is my 1st job and I'm always BLU at heart ;) (even though I betrayed them once)
Still gonna jump between Immortals and pirates ;)
Disgusting.

Shoot 'em in the face! IN THE FACE!
Tbh if I have /BLM leveled I'd /BLM for WF, it has same MAB as /RDM and seems to have 3 more AGI(according to someone else). /BLU has 8 more AGI than /BLM and MAB1, it's about the same WF dmg as /BLM but less QD dmg. Until Save TP nerf and Voidwatch adjustment comes in aiming for highest WS dmg seems to be the way to go.

A few thoughts on the adjustment to save tp coming down the pipe.
Outside of voidwatch, I'm unsure now on the viability of /sam. The main reason for this was the increase in tp gain and with miser's roll this effect was amplified drastically. Builds, when done properly, could keep the constant flow to tp going allowing for corsair's viability as a DD along with tac's/miser's. However, this may no longer be the case as save tp 11ed negates the 20+ tp return of /sam...this will require testing to determine optimal builds and alternate subjob optimization.
Inside voidwatch: /blm. /sam is officially gimped in vw as the only benefit is now sekka. +45 save tp with 11 tick regain during the fight with temps puts only two extra ticks (or a QD) from reaching 100tp.
That's all I have for now.

Even before save TP nerf I don't see how /SAM beats /BLM for WF spam with all the wings recharged frequently and hit build irrelevant, especially if you're using atmacite of slayer, you get more dmg increase based by %. /SAM only gives 1~2 extra WS with sek/med, which can be make up easily if you WS for 13+ times(which is around average WS frequency for a 3 min fight)
After save TP nerf I'm not sure then, hit-build may become relevant again.

I'm not a COR, but I do have something I'm curious about.
What would be better; 24 MAB or 10% Damage boost.
Reason I ask is because I was wondering if COR/SCH would be better than COR/RDMorBLM for boosting the wildfire damage. Maybe only for brewing?
Again, not a COR so I pretty much have no idea how to gear for this thing. Just something that came to mind. :x

It's been discussed in the past but scholar it's not worth enough. Especially when you can just get firestorm from the white mage in party(I always do).

Is emp85 worth the time of getting it? or is it better to just get coin weapon(maybe90)?
my jp friend told me that the aftermaths isnt worth that much because of the delay of range attack?
im not a pro in range weapons jobs or i dont know if they works the same as normal front line weapons.
can someone tell me is it worth getting 50gem and ***...or just get 30coins and call it?

Carabosse/CC is easy and not a pain like WoE can be in my opinion.

Carabosse and CC are very easy to do like said above, so it's not that bad.
It's true that as it is now us corsairs can hardly make use of the aftermath, however with incoming save tp nerf we'll be forced to shoot a lot more for tp so AM is coming to play a more major part. Also AGI bonus and damage on weapon for Last Stand are very good.

Depends on your on how often your server particpates in WoE, if it isnt that high i would go with making armagedon. i dont think i can bring myself to redo gun trial at this point.

If you can get on in the early afternoon Heqet is barely camped. I got my 50 Lanterns in about 3 days, most of that was with 2-4 people helping. WAR/THF(main) + WHM(mule) to get KI, BLM/RDM(mule) + BLU/THF(main) to pop CC. If more ppl showed up, great, but was still easily do-able like this.

It's true that gun doesn't get as much ODD advantage as melee weapons. Compare with other melee weapons, the difference between empy and WoE is much smaller.
However empy is still a stronger weapon than WoE.
Only you can tell whether empy is worth the time or not. Do you love the job enough that you want extra ODD and AGI dmg boost on the weapon, or you just want the WS and get the job done. Do you just hate abby grind and swear you'll never touch Abby, but enjoy WoE a lot more? Or you found WoE much worse than Abby? Others can't answer the questions for you, it really depend on how much you love the job, and how do you like Abby/WoE.
Personally I think it's worth it, even before Save TP nerf and VW era WS spam, I'm happy with the extra AGI boost on the weapon for extra WS dmg. I also did the weapon at 85 cap before I know about red proc and no powerful atma, so it was a lot shittier than nowadays. But I never regret once in my life.

Took me a little to decide to do the Empyrean version over the WOE version due to the nature of the weaponskill. but now that I'm 4 hearts away from lvl 90 version I have to say I'm quite happy that I picked the Empyrean version.
Carabosse, CC and Isgebind is definetly the easiest path to do. And I was able to do most of it dualboxing war and whm (although i did have help from friends coming to TH or just to help out.)
It's true gun doesn't get near the same amount of usefullness out of ODD aftermath that a melee will get but its still extra dmg here and there. Also 15 agi doesn't hurt anything.

Just wondering, without going out and buying one, how does Ocelomeh headpiece (NQ/+1) compare against Pandinus Beret?

You're comparing 7AGI to 6 MAB, the 6MAB should win pretty easily.

Quetzalcoatl.Generic said: »Using: (478.5 + 4.8*AGI - 2*Enemy's INT)*MAB
AF2+2 boots beat AF3+3 boots in both of our sets
I tried from a range on Mob INT = 100 to 300 even
AF2+2 won everytime
Well since i dont have the boots to do a controlled test or crude eye ball test, I really cant comment on what is the better piece. As in most things look good on paper, practical application can be surprising different pending on the situation. While following the 2 AGI > 1 MaB rule, AF3+2 feet should beat out af2+2.
If someone has both AF3+2 and AF2+2 and knows how to control a test or even a crude eyeball test (Outside of aby) can u please post numbers including the WF set you were using.
Ninja bump!
Someone on Alla forum brought the topic up again, so I did another test on lv1 rabbits in sandy. I pushed AGI to 200+, and 0 MAB in gear at all except relic+2 feet.
Total AGI=101+95, /SAM, 0 MAB in other slot except relic+2 feet, no vulcan's.
AF3+2 feet:1544
AF2+2 feet:1568
Firesday came up after a while so I had to stop, will continue after it's over.
I think it is probably more safe to just did a dmg calculation tbh, (although most of the time I got different numbers in practice).

MAB is one of those things with diminishing returns. It's much more powerful to go from 0--->6 MAB than it is to go from 30--->36 MAB for example.

Tested with my usual WF set on lv1 rabbit and /SAM no wizards/food:
Pandinus Beret/Stoicheion Medal/Hecates/Novio
Athos's tabard/Alruna's gloves/Stormsoul x2
Forban/Sveltesse Gouriz/Ambushers/
With vulcan's + reaver+1(AGI 101+95)
AF3+2 feet:2212
AF2+2 feet:2212
With Nguul(AGI 101+100)
AF3+2 feet:1957
AF2+2 feet:1961
P.S, My set has changed a bit since last test, it has a bit more AGI now, maybe that's why I got different result. But it's actually very possible for relic+2 feet to beat AF3+2 feet if you don't factor resist if ascetic not up and not subbing RDM BLU BLM.

I never liked the name wildfire... It implies either AoE or that it would give a burn <--- I hit tab for auto-translate function =/..
anyways that it would give a burn affect.

Also note that the new tiers to VW are coming out this version update. With new atmacite and most likely bring tiers up to 20. so there may be better ones coming.

I've been working on augmenting my blood cuisses and have been through about 50 tatters so far. I haven't seen any signs of magic attack D: is it a super rare augment, or am I just getting incredibly unlucky? Starting to irk me and is making me do superstitious things <_<

Are you guys assuming save tp won't stack? Because if it does, there's no reason why the nerf would change what atmacites you use on COR.
So I am just about to unlock this weapon skill and had a few questions about it. The wiki has just recently been updated with any information at all on the weapon skill and the info seems unsure at best.
I was wondering if anyone who has done some testing with the weapon skill could shed some light on its properties a bit more definitively then the wiki.
