By The Numbers

Just in case anyone was curious about how involved ZNM can get, I wanted to post some numbers for folks. Please note that posted zeni prices for pops are APPROXIMATE as they can be higher depending on demand. Also note that HQ camera takes 48 pics, and 1 stack of film takes 12 pics. Furthermore the costs listed under requirements use a conservative valuation where Sanraku is only giving 65 Zeni per pic. Understand that your own experiences may vary so only use the info posted here as a guideline.

Tier I - approx 1K
65 per pic = 15 plates
75 per pic = 13 plates
85 per pic = 12 plates

Requirements
1 HQ Cameras (500 jettons per) + 2 stacks of film (2 jettons per) = 500 + 2* 2 = 504
1k IS = 1 imperial gold coin = 9k = 200 jettons
Cost = 3k IS, 3 imperial gold coins or 27k gil

Tier II - approx 2k
65 per pic = 31 plates
75 per pic = 27 plates
85 per pic = 24 plates

Requirements
1 HQ Camera (500 jettons per) + 3 stacks of film (2 jettons per) = 2*500 + 2* 3 = 506
1k IS = 1 imperial gold coin = 9k = 200 jettons
Cost = 3k IS, 3 imperial gold coins or 27k gil

Tier III - approx 3k
65 per pic = 46 plates
75 per pic = 40 plates
85 per pic = 35 plates

Requirements
1 HQ Camera (500 jettons per) + 4 stacks of film (2 jettons per) = 2*500 + 2* 4 = 508
1k IS = 1 imperial gold coin = 9k = 200 jettons
Cost = 3k IS, 3 imperial gold coins or 27k gil

Tier IV - approx 4k
65 per pic = 62 plates
75 per pic = 53 plates
85 per pic = 47 plates

Requirements
2 HQ Camera (500 jettons per) + 6 stacks of film (2 jettons per) = 2*500 + 2* 6 = 1012
1k IS = 1 imperial gold coin = 9k = 200 jettons
Cost = 6k IS, 6 imperial gold coins or 54k gil

(POSTSCRIPT: Please note that this was originally written like 2 months ago by yours truly. Since writting I have done 2 more pops, and I am now in possession of my very own Enki Harness! :D)

So I just popped Tinnin today and all I got to show for it was a Tinnin Fang. So what did I do to earn that AWESOME drop well.... This is DIRECTLY from my experience.

Tier I (1k Zeni cost) x 3 = 3k Zeni
Tier II (2k Zeni cost) x 3 = 6k Zeni
Tier III (3k Zeni cost) x 3 = 9k Zeni
Tier IV (4k Zeni cost) x 1 = 4k Zeni
Total = 22k Zeni

Average Redemptive Value (ARV) of pics = 75 zeni
At 75 Zeni/ picture, I took ~293 pics, using 6 HQ cameras and 24 stacks of film

The total cost of those items was 3,104 jettons
Since 1 imperial gold coin = 200 jettons, it'd took about 16 imperial gold coins (IGC) = 16K IS = 144k gil where 1 IGC = 9k

One last note, since you can only trade 10 pics an hr... it took me 29 hrs to turn everything in. Obviously I accomplished that feat over the course of several days...

So ya... no matter how you slice it... for 29+ hours of work and what works to be about ~144k gil I got a darn trophy when I would have gladly took an Enkidu Harness... Now I gotta start over again because I WANT that Harness!!! This all said, please understand that ZNM is DEFINIELY not for the weak of heart!

or ya could just do a couple pankration matches and get the jettons for nothing

So people know I have a pankration mob, I haven't bought coins with IS or gil since I first started.

However I wrote the above with the understanding that some people don't have the time and patience to do likewise.

So if you wanted to buy your jettons the above chart is meant to give you an idea of the gil/ IS cost that you'll need.

Yeah, it's quite easy to get jettons for the cameras with very few fights since you can get a guaranteed 100 jettons per fight.

The numbers for the amount of pics is semi-useful though.

It should also be mentioned that most people take both cameras out and take 1 pic with the reg, then 2 2000's, and repeat. Makes it just 'slightly' faster when taking pics.
