I'm just starting this process to upgrade my dagger. Can 2 thf's team up to kill the NM needed & both get credit? Thx in advance.

Yes a whole alliance can team up on a NM and get credit on magian weapons:3

As long as they are in XP range and have the weapon equipped:o

And are in the killing pt/alliance.

Ah, I thought so. This Thf in the same spot is just ignoring me completely then. I asked to team up for the trial but he won't respond. What a douchebag.

They're probably AFK, or Japanese.

This. Every time I've ever sent a tell to someone doing the same trial or one that kills the same mobs who even has it in there seacom and they have ignored me and not come back they were jp

I'm dealing with one right now. We're killing the same mobs, I've sent her a tell with "{Magian Trial log} {Team up?}" and the same thing in /say, but she refuses to reply.

I'll just outclaim her and then invite her. I can't be that mean.

Me and a friend teamed up with 2 JPs the other day on trial 17.. I'd just wager they're AFK, I've yet to run into anyone snobby-ish enough of a *** that they'd refuse to team up, especially in areas where weather doesn't last that long. Oh and I mean through my whole career, as in I doubt anyone I've met yet (and I've met some pretty big ***) would be stupid enough to refuse to cut the killtime/workload in half just to be a stuck up ***.

Good chance they may have been wanting the items from the placeholder. for instance if im at say Intulo i'll want the Eft Skin/HQ Eft Skin from the placeholders, its a decent amount of gil.

Maybe they didnt want to see like a douche and QM Everything and rather just invite you for the NM

We have alot of jp so most have gotten used to doing events with us here. When i team up with them they afk until time for pop, that's just how they are. They are all about business, most set up events then only log on to do them right before it starts then log off after, from what I gather they don't like to sit pafk and talk abotu stupid ***in linkshell chat like we do, but some of them are racist, just a few, so no telling.

Karbuncle also has a point, on the third+ NM some of them have decent drops and they might want them. They are much more patient and don't care if they lose a claim or two.

They could have asked, or said -SOMETHING- for that matter. They didn't say a single word. If they leveled to 75, they should know how to autotranslate an item and say "Can I have it?"

Boggarts drop Regen i believe. good money maker, or used to be. it might also be Raise...

Either way it points to farming as well and not wanting to compete on lots.

Its probably what they were thinking, even though you probably would have let them QM, they either didnt want to risk it or didnt want to feel like a lootwhore, dunno.

Either way in Vince case at least he got in for the kill~

Edit: Also if they were JP theres no easy way to auto-trans that you're farming and would like to stay solo or QM yourself if you team up, so they probably just ignored you to save the trouble...

If they didnt eventually team up they're *** yes

Err... the way I did/tried this line of Magian was:
- Spot and Kill NM.
- Put on an alarm on my watch.
- Leave computer and *insert RL card*
- Return back after time up.
- Return to step one until you don't need anymore NMs.

Most boring quest next to unlocking DRK... *** you SE!

In my case they were also killing Shoal Pugils. They drop all of Pugil Scales and Shall Shells I believe. OMG EPIC FARMING GAIZ!
