Can someone let me know if wiki been hacked and reason I say this is because when looking up stuff for salvage I get a pop up that looks like its in POL showing a LM-11 to me. Link is http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Marid_Leather and it only shows if temp allow wiki if you remove it it goes away and this is 1st time that I have seen this.

When I went to the site to check something out, I got the message. And the first thing that popped in my mind was "Thats HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE." Since I play on xbox, it was rather annoying.

Although I'm not positive if its really from them or not cause there's no reliable info on it, but they always do something for April fools day so I'd assume its just them.
Just choosing something like this, is a bit much if this is really from them. u_u; pop-ups and the like always make me super paranoid too. orz;;;

I think he's more worried about there being a random popup on wiki though, not that he thinks its a real LM-11.
It's a legit worry really. Esp since nobody knows if wiki did this themselves or not, esp with their history. =| For all anyone who first pops up on the page they could be thinking they got a virus.

This thing doesn't even pop up for me, anyone check the source code?
Must be Quantserve or whatever. I allowed ffxiclopedia and wiki hosts, and I doubt google ad services and their background analysis would be the cause. I get no such pop-up.

Using Google Chrome w/ just adblock and never see the popup.
Either way, anyone who ISN'T using firefox or chrome w/ at least adblock is a moron. Ads get infected all the time and your just asking to get viruses.
It is intentional, my gf got this on her comp and was a little worried that it was showing even though it obviously wasn't real. So I got the source of the image, its in Charitwo's personal image share, so yeah, its his april fools joke, yet, its not funny AT ALL. I don't think people understand what April Fools day is, its not April Douchebags or April *** day. Its about small jokes, not a massive image that noone really believes that just obstructs your view of the webpage completly -_-. *** idiots.
EDIT: She uses NoScript/AdBlock, its on the FFXIclopedia server, so if that is allowed then the image CAN show, it appears on random pages though, she got it on the insect balls page.

thanks for posting the source info. I'm surprised hardly anyone else did. Easiest way to tell if its a joke or not.

#1 Its crying wolf. It's not something you would want people to think was just a joke. Should the site get hijacked and people say "haha funny joke, lets click it and see what they say this time."
#2 For it to be a good joke people would need to be able to find out that it was a joke but only an idiot would have clicked that picture to get taken to a page that says it was a joke.
