Love it or hate it, for good or for bad, we probably just witnessed the most historic and far-reaching legislative vote of our generation.
As a red-name, I'm not going to take sides either way. Regardless, it will most certainly be seen as a landmark decision in US politics for a long time to come.

Most interesting! I'm eager to see how this bill will change things in the years to come, as well as how it will change as well. It's not perfect, but at least we're seeing something, anything finally change. Whether or not it is for good or for bad, well, we're gonna find out in due time.
With this out of the way, or at least passed, I wonder what the next major issue we're going to see is? Any guesses?

But I'm guessing it'll be something environmental.

>_< You raise a valid issue, but I think we all became a bit over saturated on banking business last year (Which isn't to say I wouldn't love to hear more about it- specifically, an actual solution.)

It actually makes me happy it passed. I just wish we could have gotten an even more liberal bill(public option) through the senate. I don't understand why so many hate something that is going to help so many people. Like it or hate it, at least SOMETHING got done in his first term, which we should note... a politician that actually kept a campaign promise.

As a complete and total outsider to the discussion (and I don't care), didn't the healthcare system in America totally suck balls? Surely any change (I have no idea what the change is) will be for better?

One more step towards socialism. America is going down the gutter with Obama.

No, the health care didn't suck. It does have major issues as anyone would admit, but this is only going to screw us even more.
Let's see, we are already facing a massive shortage in primary care physicians, let's add 30 million more people to an ever decreasing number of doctors and see how this works out.
So *** sick of the government. Both parties.

Just diference is, now we'll give people without healthcare, a chance to get it? anyone below 65 that is or so thats how it looks to me.

I think our government and the rest of the world have some sort of false belief that we actually want to be like the rest of the world.
Take it as "arrogant asshat American" if you want, but most of the citizens here consider the U.S. to be better than any other country on this planet, and any steps in becoming like anyone else is a step down.

Anyone who thinks that they are 100% perfect just as they are is 100% flawed.
The world changes, people change. If you stay the same, you get left behind.

Do we have the whole Subscription too?
vaild point. However with the shortage, i do believe there is a serious shortage of MD's that actually do proper treatment vs just doing it for the money instead of actually careing.

I wish most Americans who have internet access could put a little of their own, original, thought in their posts. Not copy talking points you heard on Fox News. Or maybe even try to have some understanding for average American, not generalize and talk down your own country like you're a snobby European/Aussie.
Edit: Reason for two earlier posts already deleted is pretty obvious. It's already evident this won't be a serious discussion on any matter, I feel bad for OP. Thanks for trying man, was curious what people would say but FFXI players being as immature as ever. If I wanted to read this garbage I'd go on Youtube.

You don't agree that adding more people to a shrinking pool of doctors is going to create problems?

Implying what citizens consider to be better IS always the best choice.
