Windower crashing due to the new update?
Me and a few friends cannot log on windower without it crashing before the character select screen. ; ; Anyone else having this problem? /cry

Yes it's the recast. Have to take out the recast file of the windower file.

We've already been over this a few times. Go to your init.txt and disable Recast. The plugin is borked.

I did the update, and //'d every plugin in init.txt but im still crashing. Even when i run in the proper Playonline launcher i still crash every time i talk to my moogle in WG MH..
I have no idea whats going on, 5 times in a row its happened now.
Any ideas? Please halp... :(

Well I was having the same problem- I downloaded a .dat mod from Branson and been having problems since so now i got to do a file repair >< since i didnt make a backup.
Now the stupid thing tells me Error code POL 1164 problems in the HDD data D:ROM4/0/123.DAT

Yeah i had that same error with about 25mins of update left to go. Althought i dont have any dat mods.. Could a file be corrupt? i tried file check in POL but they all came back as fine.. is there a way to check the validity of the actual Dat files?
When you go to the option to check files click on the drop down and select Final Fantasy XI then have it check the files-- can take a while

Nah got to start the whole repair process over again. Learned the hard way about making a backup ><
It found a problem with 1 file, i just started the repair process, 21 mins remaining.. hope this works lol
So by the time i get this up and running itll be bed time for me. Then tomorrow when i come on im sure there will be another update for an emergency maintenance lol

I cant talk to NPC's- game crashes= anyone else got this?
Yeah thats the problem i had, but when i did file repair on 123.dat it fixed it.
/sigh back to checkfiles again..
