Windower + Vista = FFXI Crash?

I've been searching forums (including windowe.net) for the past 2 hours and I have yet to find a solution to my problem. I'm using Window on Vista (Ew) and can't get FFXI to open. Playonline opens fine, but once it tries to switch to FFXI it crashes and I get a "PlayOline Viewer has stopped working... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" window. Anyboy found any solution to this that they would mind sharing?

PS: I would switch off of Vista if I could, but I can't find another windows CD around the house <.<

Yea, I tried all that. That's to just get windower up and running, but I can't get FFXI to open up. UAC is off and launcher.exe is setup to run as administrator.

As a new Windower user on Vista, I was having the exact same problem. (And tearing my hair out trying to uninstall the IR device, arrgh.)

Yea looked in there but his problem isn't the same is mine. He's not using windower.
