Tali'ah Ring is at least BIS BST/PUP Pet: Magic Accuracy, right?

Yes for PUP (and prob BST, but since I don't play the job I don't really know the options). Only other options in the slot are weak random augments on mini-expansion Tenshodo key reward rings (IIRC, max is like Macc+2 on an ACP or Shantotto Ascension key reward). Although, LOL PUP nukes so IDK how relevant that is anyway... And I say this as someone with an almost flawless PUP nuking set, which is of little practical value :P

I find it a little hard to complain as a PUP though, with dat TP body...

Also, in addition to the ring adding something for PUP in a slot that had no practically no pre-existing viable pet nuking options, 4/5 Tali'ah +2 set (along with reforged AF feet) is arguably BiS PUP nuking gear. Best for anything where you need to focus on Macc to avoid resists - as in, pretty much anything above trivially easy (though augmented Herculean gear, or even potentially Rawhide head and Naga gloves, could win if you have enough Macc to cap and want to add more Pet MAB). I defaulted to 4/5 Tali'ah +1 anyway before today, so I view the Macc upgrade from +2 as pure bonus.

Again though... hahahaha PUP nuking. SAD! I'm certainly not gonna make automaton nuking gear as a priority over stuff like Tali'ah+2 body, Flamma pieces for my SAM, or the good Ayanmo/Mummu stuff. But I'll upgrade it one day, it's at least an improvement on existing BiS pieces for a niche use.

Could the 2 songs be related to the anniversary RoE KIs in any way? Someone mentioned they are just the Omen music, but possibly to play in our MH or something?

Naw. Remember how last one took like 3 months? Also notice how the update note didn't mention new RoE at all

LOL, well they did mention that ambuscade this month would be related to (not sure of exact wording) past halloween events.

Try to trade the ambuscade mobs the cookies, lol. Maybe they will give Treat Staves. Or better yet, make them easier than the qiqrn were!!

It did, but they added the new AA trust, so it would either way.

Testing Ambus, main NM on Vol 1 takes enhanced damage like regular Qubtrub do,was doing 99k CDC's into 99k Lights, 2 adds popped at 75% then at 30% I got one shot by an Additional Effect: Death.

Skirmish stones have never been permanent, they come back once every few months.

Similar test on my PUP with similar results. 99k's damage all around.

Wasn't quite Additional Effect: Death though, at around 30% or so he used Utsusemi: San, followed by Status Theft which hit my Automaton for 16k, then turned around and used it again right away on me for 19k.

Qutrub also used Perfect Dodge and I noticed his weapon broke at some point in the fight. Not sure what caused it to break, or what it changed but I imagine it'll be important in some way.

AAHM trust :
Utsusemi: Ni/Ichi, Migawari: Ichi, Kurayami: Ni, Hojo: Ni.
If he is the only tank in the party : Yonin, Warcry
If there is another tank in the party : Innin, Berserk
Uses Provoke in both situations.
Swift Blade, Chant du Cygne, Cross Reaver. Holds TP and opens skillchains when someone reach 1k TP.

Was able to outrun status theft every time. It has a stupid short range. Unknown if it is a gaze move.

Gear changes were not purely ilvl. Armor gained def, weapons gained base dmg and main/sub slots gained skill appropriate for the higher ilvl
Attributes, evasion, and magic evasion on the armoe went up as well.

Incorrect. After gaining the trust Magic by trading the AA Cipher to a trust npc -> go back to Jamal, he will tell you to wait some time; but simply zone out and come back -> he will now give you then next RoE quest.

So the Model they used for these upgraded sets is:

1) +4 to two selected main stats
2) Increased all secondary stats (acc, macc, racc, att etc)
3) Increased all special stats (double attack, TA, STP, DT etc)

They didn't touch the rest of the basic stats (haste, mdb, etc)

Point 1) partially surprises me. It's strange to see a set that has "boosts STR/DEX/MND" as set bonus, and then only DEX and MND were increased in the set itself :x

Also kinda disappointed they only upgraded the original Gorney/Sheneedsdick/Weatherspoon sets and not the 3 new ones as well.
Altough given the magnitude of the increase the don't really sound too interesting.

Flamma head and feet put HQ Argosy (I only use two) to bed, at least for DRK. Also tons of magic accuracy. Liking some of the Mummu as well. Ayanmo body is sweet for the jobs that can use it. Rings might be useful depending on the set bonus.

Not sure what are you using Argosy head for, but Flamma Head is not even close to beat it. When again one is used for tp and another for ws.
