ya alot of the gear is very good already, +2 just pushes it to sidegrade or even bis on a few. not bad for a free event all can spam.
exactly what i wanted! more stuff to fill my 4x 78/80 bags for 1 or 2 things for the extra bit of juicy statage!

I think the one set that got the best overall upgrade is the Flamma set.

Lots of Store TP, and the set bonus further enhances WS mods. Not to mention a metric funkton of accuracy.
im curious to see how big the set bonus gets since can wear rings with, making a bunch of the +2 relic gear i made not look to worthwhile now ; ;

Vol. 1 - No idea. Only beastmen they haven't used are Meebles but I doubt it's them. Astrologer made me think of Salvage Qiqirn:
Bozzetto Bigwig x1, Bozzetto Tormenter x3, Bozzetto Astrologer x2

Vol. 2 - Undead:
Lancer Jack x1, Spooky Skeleton x3, Spooky Hound x3, Spooky Ghost x3
Related: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTgFtxHhCQ0

Isn't the picture of a qutrub? I figured that was vol. 1. Is that incorrect?

Gear changes were not purely ilvl. Armor gained def, weapons gained base dmg and main/sub slots gained skill appropriate for the higher ilvl

I never did find out the full set bonuses from the other +2 sets. But knowing SE, they'll go with something similar.

Ok, I just had a look at the other set bonuses.

Sulevia's gives Subtle Blow +25 total. +5 Subtle Blow per piece.

Based on the fact that is the heavy DD set, I'm thinking the set bonus for Flamma will go the same way.

1 piece: STR, DEX, VIT +5
5 pieces: STR, DEX, VIT +25

I could see 5, but betting on 3, cause the set is never quite as good as you want it to be.

Turms regen pieces are twice as good as meg+2 for example

The thing is... of the 25 pieces, like 3 are ws pieces? What real good does +stat do, they may as well be +10

I guess Mallquis could be 5/5 for Helices? (4/5 w/ emp feet?)

I wonder if Bugbears are considered a different type of beastmen. Maybe?

ya know, the munmu set with the ring might be pretty good now for nin enfeebles/cor shots, the ring alone is like a 1/2 aldoin ring

For NIN enfeebles, Mummu +1 jacket/hands/legs were already great, so bring on the +2s! NIN AF head/feet will still win though, even if only upgraded to +2 (Hachiya+2 feet have same Macc as Mummu+2, but would win when adding set bonus from the AF hat).

Ring still isn't a top 2 option, even excluding SOA rewards (Weatherspoon, or Haverton for Ninjutsu skill). Better choices include: Regal (Macc+15 set bonus if using any AF gear), Sangoma (Macc+8), Etana (Macc+7), Perception (Macc+6)

Tali'ah Ring is at least BIS BST/PUP Pet: Magic Accuracy, right?

Yes for PUP (and prob BST, but since I don't play the job I don't really know the options). Only other options in the slot are weak random augments on mini-expansion Tenshodo key reward rings (IIRC, max is like Macc+2 on an ACP or Shantotto Ascension key reward). Although, LOL PUP nukes so IDK how relevant that is anyway... And I say this as someone with an almost flawless PUP nuking set, which is of little practical value :P

I find it a little hard to complain as a PUP though, with dat TP body...

Has there been a lamia fight yet? Looked to me they were doing the salvage type mobs. Qiqrn last month, qutrub this month, acroliths and lamia later? Just a thought. Also, qutrubs are fitting for Halloween.

well now i feel bad, no regal gear for myself yet, went the lame all around route and picked up Adoulin Ring for cor, drk, and nin. but do got my nin feet and had +2, was going to push to +3 them on this event but waited to renew until this update.

anyone else have a 966 file update?
They seemed to have pushed files for the next large battle content update (next month?). Two new songs downloaded.

For some reason, music088 and music089 (the new songs downloaded) are both copies of music087 which is Omen. Not sure why we all now have three copies of Omen...

Both are the same size coming in at 9010kb, which is identical to the original Omen file music087. I replaced Dolphin in POL with them, and sure enough they are all Omen.

Edit: the only thing i can think of is that they needed placeholders for the new content, and they will be overwritten when it is released.

Flamma head and feet put HQ Argosy (I only use two) to bed, at least for DRK. Also tons of magic accuracy. Liking some of the Mummu as well. Ayanmo body is sweet for the jobs that can use it. Rings might be useful depending on the set bonus.

Also, wasn't there an adjustment to a qutrub move? Can't find it now, but swear I saw it in the notes. Could be in prep. for this. Or just coincidence lol.

I can possibly see Mummu as an option for unstacked Rudra. Dropping that much attack sucks, but it wouldn't matter if you are already attack capped. It all depends on how strong the set bonuses are.

Mallquis looks really nice for Helix. Body and feet were already good for dt sets at +1, they are even better now.
