SGDQ 2017

It's time again. Less than a week from today signals the beginning of SGDQ 2017! As a special preamble, the GamesDoneQuick Twitch channel is currently restreaming the entirety of SGDQ 2016.



SGDQ 2017 starts on July 2nd, 2017 and will run until July 9th, 2017.

What is SGDQ?

Games Done Quick is a series of charity video game marathons. These events feature high-level play by speedrunners raising money for charity. Games Done Quick has teamed up with several charities in its five-year history, such as Doctors Without Borders and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

Why does the day before the last day feels like the last day and the last day doesn't feel like the last day at all?

I do think Earthbound is an interesting direction. Obviously pretty likely inspired from the Undertale finale at AGDQ but I'm curious how viewers will receive it (not sure what the overall fanbase size is like and ~4hrs is quite a good bit more time to pay attention for a game you aren't aware of compared to Undertale's ~1.5).
