What would you do with your character? Give Gil to friends? Give non rare ex gear away?

I quit years ago. I left my characters intact in case I ever wanted to come back.

Spend all gil on expensive AH items (Kraken Club, Windbuffet +1, Cursed gear -1), put them in Bazaar for 1g.

Change to WHM/BLM.

/yell "1g bazaar. catch me if u can"

Teleport and Warp all over the place.

Did that 3 times when I had called Gil x3. Except I was running around adoulin and mhuara lol

Just vanish and dont look back.

I quit forever for the fourth time a few months ago and this is what I did each time aside from the first.

First time, I gave Om away, swearing I'd never be back. I came back and guy gave Om back, empty of anything sellable. I asked him for some gil to get me started, gave me 50k (this was during blinker era lol).

It's still the best game I've ever played but SE can simply be so maddening at times, but not here to bash on the game.

I'd love for a better team to manage a game that had this game's exact job system and most of its enmity system (I mostly love the interworking enmity mechanics) and probably combat system. People can ridicule auto-attack for tp but it's so awesome how much stronger you become in a balanced party, both from buffs/roles (not rolls) and because of the skillchain/magic burst component.

...I did offer to loan (at the risk of giving) Om to one friend because I think he'd make an exceptional tank.

You could always cap your gil, and post super expensive items in your bazaar for 1g each, and enjoy ppl /raging when they can't buy it.

I have given Gil away a couple times my various times quitting. Last time I have a friend 100m and then I got it all back on my return. I may quit again soon but there's always a chance relic or empy +3 makes me want to play again so I wouldn't strip my character.

If someone were to quit XI ~ would you consider deleting your character?

This is what I did.

If I quit, I will just give my stuff away no gil needed, and drop all rare/ex gear say good bye and jump into Mount Zhayolm

But who am I gonna get mad at when you craft all this HQ and I only get NQ?

No. Seems petty and too much of a headache if I ever were to return.

I quit "for good" at 75 cap, unsure as to which xpac (was after ToAU). I dropped all of my gear, deleted my char, and gave away 120m in gil to friends.

I ended up coming back when abyssea was released. Tried to start over from scratch before I realized I could get my char back. I'm really happy with the game these days even if I can't do a majority of the content because I'm almost always solo. I run into issues here and there due to dropping all of that r/ex gear and items, mostly af related issues. It's sometimes difficult to figure out what AF1 I got and dropped, or if I dropped items I needed, or where I was in AF questlines. So this is even more of a headache now with +3 af1 coming out...

Like giving away bought/duped gil have a meaning.

Trust me, I've played for a little over 10 years with the longest break being 2 months. I love this game but it has also frustrated me in ways people wont understand. When I want to quit I'll quit and not look back.

I've loaned account out before while quitting and it's just annoying to come back later. Your ***is missing, they take all your gil, and they can't manage inventory. Just deactivate and say bye afterwards not before.Dont keep telling people you're leaving unless you actually are leaving. That can annoy everyone quickly.

It's hilarious to me because it's just a question people assume :0

I keep telling people I'm quitting soon but I also keep signing on for Omen, who knows when I'll finally pull the trigger (again). But I'm sure I'll get hyped for Relic feet+3.
