[FFXI] /yell Command Not Working

Had an strange situation happen a few hours ago. The /yell command was not working -- people said that they didn't see any /yells from Skjalf. Was wonderimg why Skjalf did like 20 /yells and didn't get not even 1 /tell. Was in Lower Jeuno when it wasn't working. Started Windower and zoned and they worked again.

Has anyone ever not had /yell work before? Or heard of this happening before? A friend spoke of other errors happen the other day too. Server maintenance in a couple days. Hopefully that will help.

Skjalf is posting about a technical issue, not looking for smart aleck responses. People said that they could not see Skjalf's yells and of course they didn't show up on Guildwork / AH site.

I was under the impression, when they added /yell, that after so many /yells, you were secretly silenced. This was to prevent RMT /yells and spamming.

I thought that if that was the case, you got a "you cannot use that command at this time" error.

Skjalf isn't an RMT.... ; ;
Was just yelling for Apex Job Points Party and the from first yell-- none showed up. Yells worked after restarting.

No error message received - just no one saw them but Skjalf. :(
Maybe problem with Lower Jeuno zone.

Unfortunately still working on asura, which means give it 10 minutes and the trolls will appear.

Never had that problem before.

Something else that is strange is getting locked at sparks NM when trying to get a Trust cipher - friend had that problem. But that's a known issue. Something that may not be known is the fact that on one of their accounts they were seeing people as the incorrect race / incorrect gear, but saw correct on the other account. And they were not changing DATs nor using anything like plastic surgeon etc. It happened in a zone with a huge amount of people. It was like their graphics weren't getting refreshed / there was an error with the loaded character graphics in the zone. They have also had issues with their graphics cards recently.
