Sadly its not official, there is a japanese person that is taking anime figurines and using them as a base model, he then customises them with modeling clay and whatnot to create the FFXI models.
He's only done a few, but here are the other pics i've found of his work.

I keeps coming back even though there is the all-server thread in off-topic... probably because I found out the guy who works at the jp bookstore I frequent actually plays in ragnarok so I feel a strange sense of... camaraderie... >.>
Parade Cuirass IRL? You want to be a character in Saint Seiya or something!? (Gold Saints... ftw?)
If you're limiting to PLD gear, I'd rather have a Valor Surcoat or a Gem Cuirass... but the gear that I want the most IRL is most definitely Warlock's/Duelist's Chapeau. (Three Musketeers ftw!!)

Yeah... but I've just come to love the gold plate armor... I have yet to get a VCoat^^
