Every time when I log in I press the PLAY button and there is about a 70% chance I forget to TAB back in in time. Then FFXI won't let me in after I been gone too long and I have to start all over again. I think my record was 3 times in a row.

I am pretty sure this is a widespread issue many people have. Unmask yourself and unveil your shortcoming.

If you're using Windower, add this to the init.txt file in your scripts folder:
Code
wait 1
keyboard_allowmmf 1
setkey enter down
wait 0.1
setkey enter up

This makes Windower press enter for you, even if you're tabbed out.

I did this many moons ago, but it backfired: now I get a small amount of satisfaction when I press enter on the agreement screen quickly enough for the simulated press to take me to the character select screen.
