Great Achievements Of The 75 Era

Getting THF to 75 in colibri parties purely because I was dating a main RDM who was making the group.

Doing Maat, for the first time, on Sam at level 66 and getting the record time for that week.

Waiting a year for this:

There is some achievements that are not even on the list like Love and Dedication to the game.


and then some.


Even tho years have come and go FFXI still remains.

Playing now on Hob in Asura.

Getting DRK to 75 over the course of a year. Also getting the final blow on Dynamis Lord on my first kill (video). Beating the Alexander fight on DRK (with a DRG friend) was another amazing feeling. Divine Might of course. Getting Rajas Ring as well. Aside from that my biggest achievements came from helping others before helping myself, and seeing their reactions when we got something they needed. Some of those I helped went on to be strong players and returned the favour down the line, either by helping me out, or by saying hello when they ran past me.

I remamber Clearing Bahamut V1 with 6 people for the earrings people said it was impossible pretty sure remember 2 of the players Youllbe and Wonsan

Breaking the 1,000,000 gil barrier before the RMTs showed up and ruined the game in 2005.

soloing Suzaku as 75 RDM I guess, first time with NQ af dusk, swift belt, and no dchap yet.

Pretty sure she was the height of RDM solos back then, Seiryu was too luck based for me to say it was the hardest. Sometimes it'd be easy as hell, other times a very quick death. On average I don't recall it being all that difficult.

Suzaku would consistently be a truck, though.

Oh, and getting a Dalmatica, like a year after I joined a HNMls. That felt pretty amazing.

Soloing Merrow No 5 on SMN and getting Volunteer's Nails 1/1 for my BST's charm set... a happy BST I was.

Casting raise 3 for the first time during shadow lord and appearing at crag of dem...

Suzaku solo on 75 rdm without a doubt。

This thread makes me realize I don't really have a lot of achievements from the level 75 era.
I started playing on september the 16th 2004 on the Asura server and I've been there ever since.
I dunno, reached my first level 75 over 1 year after I started playing, and while I've had a lot of fun in the HNMLS I've been part of, I can't really call those "my" achievements, it was more the LS's achievements with me having a very marginal role, given my job choice at the time.


I guess uhm, completing CoP in early september 2005 can be considered an achievement? I wasn't even level 75 yet, not many EU people had completed CoP by then, at least on my server. I was with a bunch of non-hnmls friends within a static, I'm very proud we did that. Especially because 3 of us weren't 75, our job selection was ***, we had no gear etc.
Some fights took us so many attempts we almost gave up at certain points.


Can I consider never seeing Leaping Boots, Emperor Hairpin or Ochiudo Kote drop an achievement too? :D

Hey my newly started taru managed CoP around that time, no offense now!

I definitely have moments in FFXI I will never forget the feelings I experienced during those moments!

-Hitting my first 75! Staff Paladin leveling in Bibiki!
-Rdm/Nin soloing Zipacana while LSs spammed bar spells to lag me and blocked my kite paths. So much anger!
-Thf solos with Bloody/Acid/Blind/Sleep bolts!
-Camping Kreutzet for 23 hours straight and going 1/1 on Sirocco! Thf + Rdm duo.
-Soloing blm to 75 on nothing but Goblin pets. I killed soooooo many bunnies.
-My first Kraken Club.

Lastly... Every single Drk KC zerg. SOOOOOO much fun!

Drowned someone in Sea that was using movement hax.

And this was a pretty epic day mining when these were selling for a ton.

Not something I condone.... but the struggle was real and was one hell of an achievement to me.

lvl 75 smn 2 guys needed ifrit prime win to unlock avi, both were under lvl 60 if I can remember right. The reason I can't remember is because I was extremely high on shrooms...... Go in there knowing I will be practically solo, but not thinking clearly and burn up all my mp, both of the guys that needed win died on ifrit 2 hr and I spent the next 10 minutes kiting with carby having less than 100 mp. Finally killed him and could no longer handle all the bright colors of the screen. So I went and stared at the wall and relished in my victory that would have been minimal if I wasn't high.
