I didn't have this problem myself, but one of my linkshell members did a volume 2 fight, and then was unable to get any of the RoE quests under "content".

Also today I had a /tell from a BST, and they said that while they did a run earlier, they were unable to reacquire volume 2 because the RoE quest didn't show, but they had the quest for volume 1.

Is there a step some are missing? Or is this a known problem?

I have never had an issue. in fact, the 10 kills RoE should remain flagged unless you remove it, so you should never need to manually re-select it after getting it once.

That's it! The WHM didn't have Adoulin, and the other guy got confused because of the typo on Volume 2. I guess this has been cleared up, and hopefully comes in handy to anyone in the same boat.
