Coming Back After A Year

ok so I've been totally out of the loop on FFXI for the last year due to having a child and getting married. I was just wondering what has changed in the game the last thing I remember being added was vagary or something like that. I'm decently geared in delve and and af/relic+2 so what do I need to be aiming for once I finish this huge download of game files.
