Fixing POL-1160

Trying to find a permanent fix for this error. I tried playing before on the regular game when I got on PC. I kept getting POL-1160 until I used WTFast. I downloaded Windower later and I didn't need WTFast anymore.

Today was different though. My internet got disconnected while I was playing FFXI and ever since I kept getting POL-1160 even with Windower and only lets me through with WTFast. Anyone have any clue as to a fix? I scoured the interwebs and most people post this problem with no solutions. The solutions that were posted about flushing the DNS and portfowarding do not work.
