POL Viewer Crash
POL Viewer crash
ok if anyone can help me out it would be appreciated i can log in to POL just fine but when I click to start FFXI it starts to load and then gives me a error POL Viewer has stopped working and it closes POL so idk what to do tried to update DirectX and did a file check for POL and FFXI and no problems there like i said any help would be appreciated thank you
Maybe turn off any addons/plugins, lower your resolution, things of that nature...
it doesn't give a POL error code

Vanilla XI is using the original program to play ffxi. Basically, not using any third party programs.

that time i tried it said it failed to initialize Direct3D wth is going on ><
Check your resolution settings in the configuration in this path (make sure every field has a value set):
C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsUS
You aren't running through Steam are you?
Now if you hadn't played with your directx version, the only other thing I could think of off the top of my head would be to check to see if your video card updated it's driver on you, I still would check it anyway, if so do a rollback (if you're still not working that is).

Since the latest update I've been getting these POL crashes on both my main and my mule, but never at the same time. The crashes happen while I'm not actually doing anything, just standing around in town. The mule runs at 640x480 with no addons/plugins. The main runs at 1920x1080 with standard Windower stuff, nothing fancy.
I'm on the latest Win10 and though ffxi is installed via Steam, I launch it using the Windower.
