So you want to buy a Smart Phone...

Had an Iphone 4s forever and got a SAMSUNG note5 a couple of weeks ago

Josiah, I am disappoint. Not a single mention of the HTC family of phones.
Another good section to add may be the new bunch of budget phones with killer performance including the new Moto G and Asus Zenfone 2 etc. Cool idea tho!
Since you filled out the iPhone section first, I'm assuming you have one? In which case... I will disregard all additional technology advice you give.

I have got note 5 1 week ago, So good.
HTC One > everything else. pls.
Figure I'll throw out some pros and cons for the passport, love this phone!
BlackBerry Passport Pros: -Awesome Battery Life (3450 mAh). -Large Screen. -Physical Keyboard! (Bonus: it's capacitive so you can scroll through webpages/reddit/emails with it!) -Blackberry Hub , great unified inbox. -Can run many android apps in addition to BB10 apps. -Great UI. -Size, personally I love the size of this (no problems fitting it into my pockets), but this is going to be subjective. -Blend, Windows/OSX/iOS/Android app that can connect to your phone via wifi/cell network which lets you access files, email, texts, bbm etc. I've used this quite a few times on days working from home and just done all my email through blend for the day via my pc. Cons: -Screen is 4:3 aspect ratio, so it's not that great if you watch a lot of videos. Some games/android apps will only be displayed with black bars on the side. -UI is similar to other smartphones, but most of the primary actions are touch based, so it can take some time getting used to. -Google play services support. While you can get a version of this on there, it's not perfect and some apps will not work properly if they require play services. -Android app performance may be lacking for some apps (Most that I've used work quite well). -Fewer apps available than other platforms. -No Flash Support, although this is becoming less of an issue as flash dies out. -Camera is decent, but nothing amazing my 2 cents
The Android OS is more robust than iOS there, I said it as a bonus: Android has an actual file system EDIT: Might as well give a little more while I'm here I use a Samsung Note 3 and I'm loving it Pros: o Screen size (if you have big pockets) o Stylus o Android o SD card compatibility Cons: o Screensize (if you have small pockets) Asura.Bryangelos

I know people will laugh, but if you are on a budget or don't care enough to buy something higher end. Microsoft lumia 640 is a decent phone.

Idk at 80 dollars it's hard to beat. Also works on AT&T Go plan which is only 40 dollars a month.
I have a note 3 and have been saving my upgrade for over a year for the note 5. Now I'm not so sure... The lack of a micro SD slot and removable battery really turn me off. Any suggestions? Live in California on AT&T plan. Looked at the OnePlus line, and am really only interested in Android.
