My inbox link on the right side of the page says "Inbox New(1)" but I have no messages in it. I got an email with a message that does not show up in my inbox.

My OCD is in overdrive here, please help ;p

It may be in another inbox, look at the dropbox at the top to switch between boxes. The drop box should tell you which it's in.

There is a dropdown that gives multiple inbox choices. It arrived to something besides your default.

It also does not matter much though.
If you remember a phrase or word (exact spelling) you used to be able to view 'deleted' PMs. They are more accurately just hidden rather than deleted. Not sure if this still works.

I had an inbox notice "1" on ffxi for over 5 years because of the same thing. It was sent to my POL mail and not to my actual char...
...that blinking red notice in the corner of my screen...5.....years...
