You do not need to keep paying for these characters to take advantage of the situation at hand. What I mean is once you have made a character, SE; will periodically have a campaign that lets you log all those in for free for 1 month, which is enough time to gather 32/75 of those empy upgrade items. not to bad. don't short yourself what could be had. I'm going head strong logging 16 chars in for a month to have those items without farming. I need an Ochain myself, still not gonna lie. glad i waited. empyreans for all, who are patient and yah just my tid bit for now

Did you make all your characters before August 8th and are they currently inactive by the same date?

I made all mules, had to pay for all of them.

For one, free login lasts for 2 weeks, not a month.

Skjalf needs all those mules for the collections of stuff :3 No room!

Quest items can't be sent?

Depends on the item probably. The Empyrean upgrade items can definitely be sent.

Unless they changed something within the last month the empy items can be sent, did it with several brarius helms

This isn't even the first time they've even offered these items via login campaign.

They're all items that are used to upgrade Empyrean armor from 95-99 > ilvl 109.

And many quest items can be sent. Empyrean upgrade items can definitely be sent and, barring maybe the first couple Abyssea updates years ago, always could be.

And yeah, now that I finally got my Defending Ring, I'll be using this to weasel my way out of a handful of dragons.

For what it's worth, your screenshot did show that only (11) log-ins were necessary to hit the 2,000-point mark...

Because, as others mentioned, they aren't giving those out for people trying to make empy weapons, they are for people upgrading empy armor to 109, which only takes a single upgrade item per slot. :P
