Even after restarting I still get small consistent frame rate lag.
Edit: it only happens on ffxi, all my other games work fine, DBZ Xeno, ff14, Diablo 3, Tom Clancy siege etc.

FFXI on Windows 10

I've had a couple random game crashed since upgrading to 10 but I'm thinking that's either a video driver conflict or a windower thing, because blinkmenot/dressup still aren't working entirely right.
Ramy, 'mere.

However compat mode with win 7 and running as admin seems to have cleared it for me.
What I meant was that compatibility mode has never really solved any issues, but I guess if it's working for you then never mind.

Hello, I have an Alienware X51 R2 Operating Windows 10 on 64 bit system with Nvidia GeForce GTX 645 Graphics card with up to date drivers. I have been playing FFXI from awhile now and all of a sudden windower crashes only when I open webpages in any browswer such as Modzilla or Chrome. I tried a previous poster's solution as to have the webpages open before hand but that doesn't work. I have unistalled and re-installed windower but still didn't work. Anyone know what else I can do besides a clean uninstall of FFXI?
Is it doing it with just Windower or also with vanilla?
Make sure that it isn't changing the aspect ratio, that ffxi is running at your screens native resolution, and that you don't have a different gpu designated for 2d and 3d rendering.
I am trying now in vanilla mode and see if it still crashes. Also I don't think it is changing the native screen resolution.
Looks like it works properly in vanilla mode. So problem is with windower I am assuming. But if I already un-installed it and re-installed it what else can be the problem?
Have any of you gone in to ffxi config and turned on graphics stabilization, It is on the last tab iirc.

Most likely a setting or plugin. However it's a potential outright incompatibly, especially with 10 constantly "upgrading." I updated my NVIDIA drive and it stopped. Guildwork plugin was causing crashes too so you might try disabling that? After some more testing without plugins the windower is working without any disconnects. So I will be including plugins one by one to see if I can pinpoint the disconnection problem.
