If I was butthurt I would have said something along the lines of "lol you got banned lolol". You're the one who made this thread complaining about getting banned which in turn I found it amusing how you were known for reporting people's posts and yet it didn't shield you from getting banned either.
Like I said, I don't see how you're surprised about this since you were doing the same thing also. If anything the only person left on those forums will be analhiem by the time the dust has all cleared.
Look Malthar, I'm not trying to beat you up or make fun of the fact you got banned. I got banned too and have lost 0 sleep over it. The OF have a lot of crap on it which for the most part is verboten on there so getting banned is only a matter of time for everyone there who even has a decent opinion.
If you're going to get upset about being banned then you should be prepared to be called out on being a hyprocrite when you were doing the same thing you're complaining about. It's only a matter of time before Draylo gets banned too so I'm sure someone will report him enough times as well.
Draylo is already on major thin ice on BG so I hope he actually curbs his mouth a bit before he's only got alla and ffxiah left to post on.

Not mine obviously. You should really calm down as I'm trying not to attack you. And yes you are known for reporting people. You obviously did it to me and admitted to doing it on the official forums. Look at how I got a rise out of you without even really trying to do so.
As far as Draylo is concerned it's pretty well known some of the moderators there arn't too fond of him. Half the time he's a pretty likeable guy and sometimes he comes off as a closeminded clown. The former is why he hasn't been hammered yet.
The official forums are really one of the most tight-assed forums I've ever seen run. I've moderated two active game forums for close to over 15 years and even I'm surprised at how heavy-handed SE's moderators are.

Honestly, I have no idea why people still care about the FFXI OF and whether they get banned or not, the game is dying and is about to be completely phased out, our opinions etc mean nothing to them as the time to be invested in any actual changes will outweigh the customer wants etc on a venture that's about to be closed/no longer maintained.
Now you could also argue "why does SE care then", because their image will still be there for people to view online (even if they delete it, it's saved online in the archives) which matters for their future ventures and any potential business partners. SE will not want forums with "fans" especially in Japanese Culture where respect is everything, littering their reputation because "people are butthurt" so to speak.
Honestly more shocked that people who get banned in the last couple of months care at all about it, considering it's been a well established fact SE ban people from the OF for w.e reason they like, almost like they really are GM Dave.
Byrths ban, while unjustified, did point out that their "team" can't code for ***, which is embarrassing that a general user knew more about their game than they did - hence the ban. They're protecting their public image through heavy censoring.
nobody has accused SE of being smart business people for a VERY long time.
Well there practice on the OF for the game now, is actually smart when you consider public image. I will give you that their shortsightedness on things like, MogBonanza being illegal in some countries is evident of their inability to think things through, which suggest poor planning.
Anyway, enjoy arguing about being banned for OF for a game that's basically Dead, let me know how that goes for you all!

The Hunt system is better than the HNM system, as you know, more than 18 people can participate. The Hunt system worked fine anyway, I managed to get to around 80% of Hunts and get full credit, just from like watching my 3 hunt linkshells on Cerberus, one of which has 5 leaders who re-link anything in their 3 other linkshells (it's required to be a leader in all 3 for this purpose).
If you failed massively hard at Hunts, then you either have linkshells where everyone just wants the location and never actually looks for them i.e. Hunting, or you have a PS3 and a 6 hour loading screen time, which sucks to be you.
I'd grant you that SE's Hunt Systems and PS3 Limitation is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE, the hunt system on it's own however worked fine.

SE really don't like any negativity on the forum, I've been banned twice in the past for what I would call very minor things. So effectively even if someone is being an idiot you really can't call them out on it, lately that Billnes guy has been annoying me, especially with him using mental disability as a crutch, which as a person with a mental disability who tries to get on with life as normal, I find particularly grating.
On the same token they seem to call people up on anything that might bring their methods into question, as I recall Bryth got banned for posting information about SE's combat formulas, they really don't like anything that could bring how their game works into question.

I was banned from the XIV forums for criticizing a guy saying that whm had to have swiftcast at ifrit normal.
Buuuuuuut, I've been way more critical of XI and the devs..and not in a polite fashion and never got banned from XI OF.
(both were two years ago).

We have the one who victimizes himself as if FFXIV was his own baby, and the other who thinks everyone here gets their ideas on Google or Youtube.
There are a lot of sex jokes, references and visual references in FFXIV. If you think that is what having personality is about then no wonder you love FFXIV so much, the game is just like its characters, disposable and empty.
Put that into your mind once and for all: many people here played FFXIV and do not enjoy it at all, whether you like it or not.

The suspension will last a minimum of 240 hours starting 07-16-2015 7:10 (MST) during which time you will be unable to access the FINAL FANTASY XI Forum.

NOTE:
Please be aware that during the suspension, we will review the case and determine if you are eligible to access the forums in the future. Depending on the situation, we may decide to take further action by terminating your access to the FINAL FANTASY XI Forum and/or FINAL FANTASY XIV Forum.
In addition, actions taken against an account are accumulative. If you persist in violating the FINAL FANTASY XI User Agreement, we may terminate your access to the FINAL FANTASY XI Forum and/or FINAL FANTASY XIV Forum. We therefore ask that you do not repeat this behavior, and that you review the FINAL FANTASY XI Forum Guidelines
