Feetstalker T3 escha NM
we were having quite a bit of struggle to damage this NM. Seems to have so sort of aura that preventing us from doing damage. Our setup was pld/whm/rdm + brd/geo/cor/x2 rng. Any1 with any info or strategy for this NM will greatly appreciated :)
Water damage will temporarily (very shortly) remove his invulnerability.
RNG is, from everything I have experienced and read, not the job you want for Escha T3, no matter what their gear is. That's all the advice I can give you. He's pretty easy to handle once you get used to him. what would be a good damage dealing for this NM?
We do it with 2 BST + GEO + COR + PLD + THF for TH. But I think most people use SMN or some manner of THF + SAM SC.
does geo spam water dmg to remove its aura?
For us the GEO is generally dual-boxed by me (BST) so I will cast water occasionally, but I don't make it my top priority. I will often water -> tab -> ready x2-3 -> do other stuff for a few seconds -> repeat.
We do it with PLD + Nuke Party. Our nuke Party will have SCHs BLMs 1-2x GEO 1x COR. The COR uses Tact Roll and we use Omniscience and Vidohunir from behind to remove it's Aura. Magical WS will always penetrate the shield. No Problems with damage resists without it.
Having a nice WS set with Pixie Hairpin, Archon Ring and the usual INT/MND/MAB recommended tho. We do it similarly but we have a thf as well. SA Rudra's to Leaden makes darkness and then water magic bursts. While magical ws will always penetrate the shield sometimes you hit for 0 (someone was saying that's due to its occasionally ignores dmg vorseal).
after removing the aura, how long it stay off for?
We've never actually tried WSing from behind to remove aura in 20+ monkey kills. Our COR just got leaden salute last week though <_> so maybe will try next time.
Do you have to do a certain amount of magical damage to break his Aura? We just tried this NM and he started full resisting everything around 60% even with weaponskills.
He can resist ***during Chainspell. Have had him just outright resist Water from my GEO mule during CS.

To break it's Aura you have to do a certain amount of WS dmg from the back from my experience and that is what worked for us. However the mechanic might be more complicated on some level unknown to me. I thought the mechanic was meeting a damage threshold while the monkey is blue procced from a water nuke? While the thf WSes from behind, I ws from where ever I am standing on COR (probably within a 45 degree angle of the back).

We killed the monkey without a single water nuke or blue !! from 100 to 0 just spamming our WSes and nuke it down. my guess is any kind of elemental damage would probably work, but elemental ws seems more reliable way to get rid of the aura.

Well we've killed a large number of Monkeys with nothing but tiger on it and no nukes from GEO. It's not like it isn't possible, he's just talking about removing the shitty %chance damage invulnerability. Mostly I bring it up because I don't ws from directly behind. Leaden does around 40k and I'm usually slightly to the side and about 20 from the mob. Then again I'm closing so maybe the SA rudras for very little damage is meeting the ws from behind requirement?
