Currently it's over an hour past the time all indicators say the servers are back up but Pol is still saying can't play during maint. Anyone else getting this?
my friend is on xbox and he is playing but my pc wont let me log in.

I don't think its just you. I'm getting the same thing myself and there's at least one report on the official forums so far.

Nope, says it's still in maintenance.
Reports from BG forums state that some players who use the EU version are able to log in, but then someone said they had EU and they couldn't log in, so YMMV.

looks like an issue with the NA login server.
Well this stinks took me forever to beat Sergeant Major Promo minigames now I can't log in to get my actual promotion. >.<

Well that sucks! There's actually quite a bit of decent armor/items to be obtained - some of which are replacements for existing stuff (SMN at least).
I got the Pursuer's Robe (I think it's called) last night, and it's a pretty hot Kyujutsugi+1 type of armor.
Well, I'll try and kidnap a few adventurous souls and drag them in, kicking and screaming. I can get a PLD and a WHM with the promise of shinies for SMN and RNG.

I wish they would at least let us know it was officially extended or something.
What sucks is that you have to re-farm a Tribulen KI after EACH NM you kill. This forces you to either farm a lot of Slit beforehand in preparation for an evenings worth of Escha NM hunting, or you more or less have to disband and solo your 1000 Slit (since farming Slit as a group sucks).
A little more thought into this concept/process on SE's part would have been nice.
