Just curious how everyone else keeps things organized.

For your copy/paste convenience...

Inventory:
Wardrobe:
Mog Sack:
Mog Satchel:
Mog Case:
Mog Safe:
Mog Storage:
Mog Locker:
Mule(s):

Right now I am doing something like:

Inventory: meds, porter moogle coupons, sets storable via porter
Wardrobe: gear that can be used many jobs, and my main job
Mog Sack: misc gear for less used jobs
Mog Satchel: everything upgradey, aby pages, chapters, stones, wings
Mog Case: everything crafting, crystals/clusters/ingredients fishing gear, some misc gear spillover
Mog Safe: gem hoard for goldsmithing
Mog Storage: dated gear I just can't part with
Mog Locker: 80/80 99x Alexandrite (I need to rank up assault badly)
Mule(s): stuff to AH that doesn't sell quickly, misc gear spillover

I find that on some jobs I'm still 75-78/80 in inventory and don't like it, trying to find out other people's strategies.

Mostly I just cry, complain and scream like a small child. Doesn't effect anything but it sure makes me feel like I am going to see a change.

I use an extensive army of mules and throw my gear everywhere, then cry internally when I realize I'm going to have to honestly stop and organize it all properly one of these days to max out the potential of the Wardrobe.

Inventory: Whatever I currently have on me that I haven't tossed or put away
Wardrobe: Whatever I can fit in there from inventory
Mog Sack: Keeps my side jobs safe and happy with quick to get inventory
Mog Satchel: Same as sack
Mog Case: Same as satchel
Mog Safe: Upgrade / Enhancement items like Seals and other tokens
Mog Storage: Items with memories attached to them, like the Hexgun I used most of my COR career when leveling it, or Salvage pieces I never finished. Stuff I like to scroll over and remember actual adventures took place to obtain them.
Mog Locker: Important stuff I plan to finish and won't toss, like my 14/50 Almace
Mule(s):
Melee Mule
Magic Mule
Ammo / Crafting / Flavor of the Month Job Mule

I'm also guilty of using Send/Recieve storage space on top of all this.

I'm the MMO equivalent of a hoarder, though I really don't want to just cave in and toss a bunch of old gear because Matsui went "LAWL, all that stuff is useless now since it doesn't have ilvl!", though I'm sure I can condense down to a single mule due to all the storage options these days.

Inventory: Storage Slip gear for the job currently being played, event relevant medicine (Echos, Holy Water) Belts/Earrings/Rings, RR items.

Mog Safe: single job important pieces for the jobs I do not frequently play including weapons and JSE augmented capes, Mog House furnishings,

Storage: /lockstyle items, i90 Empyrean weapons, lolGungnir, items I cannot part with due to sentimental reasons (Destroyers, Patroclus' Helm) Relic +2 without the XP trials completed

Locker: all Mage gear all the time

Satchel: single job important pieces for the jobs I frequently play including weapons and JSE augmented capes, Ranger and Corsair gear

Sack: Storage Slips, vanity items, Ninja Tools, Angons, Trump Cards, 1 DMG abyssea proc weaponry, Coffer Keys

Case: Medicines, Foodstuffs, situational pieces, REMs Tales/upgrade items, Costume items, R/E items from Unity so that I don't keep getting an item to chuck it on the ground.

Wardrobe: mutli-job important gear - -DT pieces, TP pieces, MAB pieces shared for BLM/BLU/GEO

this system tends to work well for me unless I am needing to change jobs that are very gear opposed (switching from Dragoon to Geomancer, for example, usually takes ~3 min)

Inbox: about a dozen Abjurations, Fishing Gear, AH gil I haven't bothered to collect for a few weeks....

only put the most common of all job gears in the wardrobe, having the need to take every piece of gear from the storage or satchel or case is a hassle. But tks to itemizer making it easier with pre-set script file.

Inventory: My Blue Mage equipment, some generic things like warp ring, empress band and whatever I need for a second job I'm currently working on.

Wardrobe: All the eminent gear and some stuff I use a lot but not all the time (i.e. olduum ring, tavnazian ring, cp+ cape, nexus cape, signal pearl etc)

Mog Sack: Crystals I get while farming / meritting that can't be put on AH at the time since it's full, REM pages, some leftover +2 items from Abyssea, stuff that's related to Mog Gardens (seeds and so on)

Mog Satchel: Don't have one.

Mog Case: Spells that I can't learn yet (just some NIN and RDM spells atm), weapons for jobs I switch to sometimes, imperial coins for mog safe and a few other items I can't recall atm

Mog Safe: Any equipment that I still need for NIN, SAM, RDM -> 99

Mog Storage: Mythic weapons and various other rare/ex weapons and armor

Mog Locker: Memento's from the past, stuff like blue mage testimony, chocobo egg, flax pouch and so on. Reminders of things I accomplished over the years or haven't done yet STILL.

Mule(s): I do not have any.

Wardrobe: Gear I never ever want to forget, lose, or stop using at any moment
Sack: Gear/food/meds/tools/ammo not in use, mog slips
Case: All pop items at all times, money drops, valuables to be stored later
Inventory: Whatever's relevant, emphasis on free space

Safe: Valuables and stackable goods of frequent deposits/withdrawls
Storage: Dumb quest stuff, old junk, lockstyle gear, crap I wouldn't miss if I was in Norg or Nashmau
Locker: Lesser hoard of goodies

No mules, no satchel, no problem between 4 regularly used jobs

Wardrobe: Gear that carries between all jobs, fill with gear that's used by main job or the most of character's geared jobs.

Inventory: Gear that's currently in use, meds, etc.

Satchel: Storage slips 1-22, items that can be turned into a NPC(kindreds crests, skirmish wings, etc), rem's tales

Sack: Meds/consumables/pop items

Case: Buffer.

Safe: Crafting items, garbage like councillor's cuffs that i won't ever use but won't toss

storage: Gear not in use

locker: Gear not in use

I use dressme to enforce that unless I have an item assigned to a specific spot(sack/satchel/safe), equippables get put in storage/locker and non-equippables go into case. Before autogearing a new job, I skim my inventory for any stray equippables I may have picked up and drop them if i don't want to keep them. If case gets full, I just sort it to safe/trash/ah.

I actually already had all of this written down on Notepad long before I ever saw this thread <.<

Mog Safe: BLM, SMN, magey gear
Storage: MNK, THF, Storage thingies
Mog Locker: Samurai, Rune Fencer, Red Mage, heavy armor
Mog Satchel: Corsair, Costumes, Ranger
Mog Sack: Tools, medicine, ammo, food, expendables
Mog Case: Junk
Mog Wardrobe: Cross-job equipment

Mules have whatever the game will allow me to mail them that I'm too sentimental to let go of or things that aren't of immediate use to me such as AF3 papers/stones/cards etc.

Using the Wardrobe for armor/accessories you use across most/all jobs is vital and will reduce the amount of time you spend swapping gear when changing jobs tremendously.
