Oh, also people using AGL instead of AGI, /rage Most funny thing the Japanese call PLD "ナイト" or "ナ" (katakana for knight and it's abbreviation)... Not only people call things with wrong names, Square themselves were hard at work to make things even more confusing. Considering that abbreviations are shortened form of real words, there is no wrong or right. What really annoys me is people being annoyed when others say PAL instead of PLD when there is technically no "right" way, and it's obvious from your remarks that you knew they were referring to paladin (hence the point of abbreviations in the first place), successfully using their abbreviation.

All this discussion and hating on the french words is reminding of ranperre's tomb...
Is it -ran-pe-air-? -grand--air- -ramp-here- WHAT IS THIS!? Anna Ruthven said: » Garlaige Citadel was referred to as Garbage Shitadel in 2004-2005. pls stop calling it queef'em island
Since I don't use voice chat or know anyone who plays irl, I have been spared the abject horror of dealing with mispronounced, made up names.

Ok, maybe this post is a little unnecessary. But the number of people that somehow are unable to read the suffix "-ga" is getting on my nerves.... yes, it is a made up word, but if you actually read the word, THERE IS NO "-aga" AT THE END OF EVERY AoE SPELL!!
Please stop referring to them as "-aga spells"... take a second to READ the name of the spell before you type it. Blizzaga Firaga Thundaga Those are the only three with -aga at the end! Waterga Stonega Aeroga Banishga Diaga Curaga All end with -ga! You can call me a grammar nazi, I don't care. But this is getting stupid. =/ Offline

Why do you consider firaga an -aga spell when curaga follows the same process of dropping the e and adding aga? Yet you don't consider curaga an -aga spell. Your rules confuse me.

I believe U.S.A. players are the worst offenders on this one. This is probably because the capital of Alaska is Juneau. Just curious, but how would you pronounce it? Leviathan.Comeatmebro

you call them aga because ga is ambigous with greataxe and prior ffxi games used aga as an indicator of spell potency several times
