Out Of The Loop For A Long Time, Questions

Hi, so, the stupid OST from this amazing game makes me all emotional and stupid ***and basicly I want to install the game again.

SO, I remember the steam version used to be something you wanted to stay away from, for various reasons.. How is it now? Does it work with windower etc?
Or should I (try) to buy it from the SE webpage?



Also, I miss everybody.
I feel like I've been ignoring my home for nearly 2 years now, and I'm dying to go home.

I play the steam version, and it works pretty well for me, though I'm one of those crazy casuals who don't use windower.

But it was gifted to me from a friend who quit.

i reinstalled 2 weeks ago on my desktop, with a steam version. You just download the game through steam and then update with the steam version. install windower and login there. The one thing you should never do on steam is a filecheck.... or you'll have to reinstall. Had to reinstall on my laptop which is windows 8.1 and i cant get windower running so been playing legit on there

OK so I installed and reactivated, now just to wait for the update.
I can't belive I'm actually doing this.. o.o

The Blackmage-*** is more or less happening irl now.

Now that is about as acceptable as an excuse not to use Windower as I have seen^^ Stupid windows 8, thats why I downgraded to 7

Forgot how long this update stuff takes..
Is the update data still hosted by some gentleman\wonderful lady so I can just download it faster and paste into the ffxi folder?
I can't seem to easily find it in forums if so :<
