Anyone find if they raised the MDT beyond 4% with leaf/snow or if dusk can grant pdt/mdt on yorium higher than 4%? This thread started off on a negative note. Let's turn this into a thread where we can post our augments thus far.
This is mine. ![]() Used nq dusk, leaf+1 and snow+1. All slit. Leafdim +1 gave me drain/aspir potency on Yorium.
I've got Evasion+22, Triple Attack+2 and Weaponskill Damage+2 on my Taeon Tights.
Gotta love a grand total of Evasion+75 (53 base +22 aug) on pants. All this random stat crap is making me think that SE doesn't know what direction to take FFXI in. It's effectively lost my interest since they started taking away the clear definitive goal that was easier to set rather than do circles in Port Jueno figuring out who the hell the solo for what piece of gear that'll just be outdated in the next month's update.
I just saw on BG a shield with -7% DT. The person is saying they used an old stone of the leaf variety (I am assuming leafdim.)
I hope this isn't shield exclusive, I don't remember the shield having its own pool aside from being the only item that could receive +block chance. In terms of enmity, Nilas would be the better option, since Taeon has Enmity-5.
Tanking/enmity piece, Nilas should win DPS/General Melee piece, Taeon reigns supreme. Since I have a large collection of mules to abuse for red mog pells still, got a healthy number of aug samples ( like 100+)

Taeon Gloves Attack +22 Triple Attack +2 Crit Hit Damage +2% Taeon Tights Accuracy +19 Triple Attack +2 Crit Hit Damage +1% Taeon Boots Acc / Atk +15 Dual Wield +4 Crit Hit Damage +2% Snowslit for the Acc/Atk, Leafslit for the TA/DW, Duskslit for the Crit Hit Damage. Currently my Taeon Gloves have TA+1 and WSDMG+3%
Acro gloves have STP+3 and Critical Hit Damage+2% So when augmenting this new stuff can you use mutilple stones? I got wsacc 18 on boots, if I add a different stone do I keep the wsacc and get a second or third augment?
You get to hold 1 dusk stone augment, 1 leaf stone augment, and 1 snow stone augment.
I'm kinda happy, but sad at the same time, cause they're my best option for my WSs atm, and I'm gonna have to make like 2 more pairs....so 3 sets of Taeon's to work on for FC5 on all pieces, TP for all pieces, and WS for all pieces probably.
And my helios gloves ![]() I literally cannot wait for the outcry when alluvian rakaz comes out and all these augments get wiped. It's like you've learned nothing.
I'm already getting ready for the lulz. When it comes, let it come. I probably won't cry as hard as you probably, though.

Lemme throw you some facts, valli.
Yorcia skirmish -> aug/2013 Rakaznar skirmish -> feb/2014 Alluvion yorcia skirmish -> feb/2015 Alluvion rakzanar -> ? So, first skirmish gear lasted 6 months before being wiped. Second skirmish set came after 1 year after skirmish gear +1. So its not like every week new skirmish gear will be added. Recycling your gear every 6 months isnt so horrible. Even more when current sets are clearly superior than previous. I foresee, though, next months a new wave of revamped content where the new pieces introduced will be barely better than alluvion skirmish in some aspects, but never to the point to actually trash skirmish, at least not for more 6 months. Also, your rage/butthurtness is blinding you of whats a fact. You totally cant compare skirmish augment system with alluvion system. Its totally diferent, its a lot more reasonable. - You dont need +2 to achieve at least 70% of the max an augment can provide. - you dont lose an augment slot even with nq stone. - each stone has a separated pool, with less range of augments, reducing the amount of tries you need to get your choosed one. |
