I don't no if anyone else uses palemoon. I had started using it a year or so back when i was having issues with both IE and firefox. Palemoon has always worked pretty exceptionally for me until recently.

For some reason this site freezes my browser up constantly. 95% of the time i click 'submit' after editing a post, im guaranteed for the browser to freeze up completely. Then anything i click on this site runs the risk of freezing it. - So far i have not had this issue on any other site that i recall. I also have not had this problem (yet at-least) using Firefox. (Which im using to type this message)

Anyone have an idea whats up with this? It seems far to specific..

It's quite possibly an add that's doing it, as I have no problems and am using Palemoon on everything, but also adblock.

They do have a release of Palemoon for slower processors (says for Atom) that you may need to grab, since your machines are old.

I've actually been forced to use an ad-blocker to cope with the memory leak and video ads that have cropped up recently. I'm very against using ad-blockers because their revenue is what keeps the site running, but they have made it utterly unusable for me.

Scragg was aware of the memory leak at least.

this comp is using a Intel Pentium dual core.
I actually dont have problems with ads or anything on a daily basis.

The issue is only on this site tho. And its a recent thing. Ive used this site on this comp plenty before with no issues then.

Scragg did indeed take care of the Ad that was causing the memory leak in the last month or so. Although through the third party advertising agency, by no means could this be prevented in the future as we don't 'control' what ads are displayed which are due to Google's algorithm. We do control the 'type' of ad, however. <- As far as I know. :I

I do notice some ads have become videos. As to which, I'm somewhat sure that they weren't allowed which I'll have to check into.

don't believe so. Was thinking way back when that maybe the add ons/extensions were causing the issues i was having with firefox at the time. So when i switched to palemoon, i wasnt rly looking for anything extra.

give it a whirl for a bit and see if it's causing the leak, if so then it's the ads. That being said, the site does run on $ from the ads, so some prefer to leave them on on here.

If it is an add, you could use an adblocker and donate some money to site from time to time.

odd, I would first check to see if the extension is disabled, if so turn it on, if not then remove and readd it, is what I would do.

looks like it is working in a way. While it doesnt block the adds, it gives me the option 'block' but then i get a screen like this.
Edit: you can see the 'block' on the upper right hand ad.

select the wrong thing and the whole page is gone'
