Can i copy ffxi from 1pc > new pc?

Is it possible to copy the core FFXI game data/expansion data from my current pc, and move it to another pc and it work properly?

I don't have steam or game discs, but I have two accts and want to dual box on separate pcs.

But to long answer your question: not really, you'd have to copy the registry keys and all, and register the thing, it gets messy, I'm sure there's documented ways to do it to the same OS platform, but I've never successfully done a software migration like that, although it's about time I look into it again. But at least these links will solve your issue, I have others too if those actually don't work, but they're not directly from SE like these are.

edit: for the long term people in case these links die, I recommend just picking up an amazon copy of the game when it's on sale for dirt cheap, that way you always have download links available to you, and you don't need a client like steam to download them.

I had lost most of my install discs. POL can be installed from an install file from SE. I had installed FFXI itself, and CoP/RoZ (Ol' school discs I had from 02..) and then copied the whole FFXI folder from my old PC to my new one. Did a file check, update, and was able to play just fine.

I don't have the registry key settings, but once you copy those over, you'll need to run a .BAT file to register FFXI's DLLs. Put it in the SquareEnix folder with the FINAL FANTASY XI , PlayOnline Viewer, and TetraMaster(? Do they still install this folder?)
