I know this is new, and it has some tweeks to be made, how does this:

Kameyan : 宿星むずかしい 各2〆 短剣1/2 胴〆 足〆 銃0/2 バッテリー0/2 詩人さんか狩人さん 1名«Looking for members.»

1 person hunter's or half body 〆 foot 〆 gun 0/2 battery 0/2 poet's each 2〆 dagger difficult star inn

Become this:

It lost more than half the shout, where did:
2/2 body
2/2 boots
0/2 gun
0/2 battery go to in the translation?

〆 Means closed, as in all members able to pick, have chosen. 1/1 etc.

It looks like the line got cut off. I'll try to figure out why later.

Okay, figured this out. I wasn't escaping autotranslate codes, so gsub was messing up ones from category 37 (%).

Pushed to -dev. Should be live in a bit.

It's out right now, I'm using it... not exactly what you would call perfect...

It only translates the most basic of basic things right now really.
Like jobs (unless it says WAR/PUP that's something else).

Other than jobs "shall we go" and "overfishing" some of the high tier names are covered, its a work in progress I guess.

All it does is change the text of shouts, it doesn't allow you to communicate back, nor will it probably get you into a jp party. Just for knowing what they're shouting more or less right now.

It's never going to do outgoing text, because outgoing text is detectable and NA players have been banned for typing JP characters, which they don't have access to without third party tools.

It uses any custom dictionaries provided (check its folder) and people are free to submit any new terms they want to the addon repository. If people want it to be better and they know enough JP to see where it's failing, they can submit a new translation dictionary and it'll translate their added terms.

WAR is the same characters as "Fight"

PUP (ka) is a character that indicates something is a question.

So ok for WAR & PUP, I also see in many of the jp shouts : "CORme"

Can someone explain this one ?

「コメ」 (kome) is shorthand for "search comment." 「コ」 also happens to be the abbreviation used for COR. I'm not familiar with the translator, but this is the likely cause for that issue.

Lately, I know you've been making some additions to this add-on which are awesome. But I've been seeing some really weird shouts now.

What are these supposed to be lol

Obviously skirmish (544) but blade:ten?

Hyunak: Al - Our client, such as sill 544 avant-garde spirit white support 3/6 PortJeuno

Armament : 天輪むず*2 «Team up?»
Armament: «? Team up» balance wheel James * 2 Bard is recruiting The - 5/6 UpJeuno

Also, just a suggestion, but you could probably remove pup/war from the lexicon altogether, as honestly no one is ever going to actually want a pup/war and just permanently change them to ? and (times*)

(Alluvion Cirdas)
(Return to Delkfutt’s Tower)

Man more than often automated translation do confuse more than help... lol

A "dictionary" of sorts with "slang'ed up" mission names and special events would improve the translator quality greatly.

Should not be hard, add such a thing, right ?

Recently I've seen a lot of "noTHF" at the end of short sentences where "thank you" would have been appropriate.

What about that one ?

Jokes aside, it's obviously not related to the thief job in any way.

It's all about the auto-translator.

Sentence exemple : "(Good night!) (*-*)noTHF"

it would be "nosi" if the katakana for THF was translated syllabically.
Google translate tells me that it's the *waves* emoticon.
