I ended up going with 190 cause the person had over 600 of them was like *** it; I'll make money faster than I can buy plates at 150 or lower, so no point in holding out

That's true. I think once I get closer to 1500 I'll most likely just buy at whatever price to get it done with.

Parov here is the first person I've seen buying in bulk in a while and I normally sell 5-15/week (depending on luck) on mules from doing VW for merit recapture.

Not that long ago I had ~15 in my bazaar for almost 2 weeks at 120k and they didn't sell. Never did until I dropped them to 100k, so I've just been selling at 100k the past couple of weeks.

To be fair, on Bismarck ALL weapon currencies are crashing, so it all sort of evens out. Whatever you farm to make money is deflating just like whatever you want to buy, assuming it's all Dynamis/Salvage/VW

To everyone who talks about how impossible it is to collect 1500 HMPs, observe the time between the OP and the end.

For those of you that can't math, it only took this dude a week.

The time between the op and the end does not consider the amount of time required to get the necessary cash.

110k x 1430 = 157,3m

So, to complete 1430 hmp in 7 days, it would require a daily income of 22,4m.

Well he prob had 150 million Gil ready lol

He probably meant the supply of plates.

After i saw montionts under 700k, i concluded that Bismark shouldnt be considered as a parameter.
I really doubt any economically healthy server would rush to sell hmp for 110k.
Even more 1400 hmp.

Parov is the only person I saw shouting/ buying HMP on this server at the time.

If you have enough gil and ask nicely, you can finish anything in a timely manner. This really has nothing to do with a "healthy" server but a matter of economics.

on leviathan, with all the gil ready, you'd be lucky to do it in a month buying at 150k

Total time, it took about 9 days from start to finish. I already had 60 riftdross once I finished the HMP stage. I would say I got fairly lucky with people selling me plates. I paid 110k for about half the plates, around 600 at less than 110k and the rest i bought for 120k+ or were given to me.

I think I only had 1 person "competing" against me. I wouldn't even say competing because I think he was being fairly lax about buying plates.

I got lucky in finding someone who I assume to have given up on trying to make his own weapon because he sold me around 400 plates @100k. I think persistence is key and you can get them done in under a few weeks given the supply keeps coming in.
