Tinhaspa Path B R15 have 41 more Accuracy than Oats. If you build Path A you wasted the potential of the item.


Food for comparison:

Sushi +62-65 ACC
Red Curry +150 ATK


Songs:

Sword Madrigal +5 with merits +33 ACC
Blade Madrigal +5 with merits +48 ACC
Valor Minuet IV +5 with merits +73 ATK
Valor Minuet V +5 with merits +79 ATK


Rolls:

Hunter's Roll XI +5 +90 ACC
Chaos Roll XI +5 with job bonus +55% ATK (aka a ton)


ATK is clearly easier to come by than ACC.

If you are a WHM please don't get blinded by the plethora of ilevel pants. Your Orison +2* are still your best friends in saving you tons and tons of MP even in highlevel content!


(*If you have Puppets in peril pants more power to you)

For stunning Delve 1 NMs your Stun recast needs to be 8-9 seconds to catch all WS moves of the Bosses while ignoring magic. This becomes important when SV Songs and Strategems ran out.


As a BRD that is not interrested in a Rellic horn, making an effort to get the March +3 Intrument from Celaeno can be worth your time.


This will increase the combined Haste of your 2 Marches by an additional 3%, often resulting in pushing your SCH below the critical threshold for stunning, even when somehow your fight went t*ts up.

Can still hit 90-95% acc with path A on Tree. Always 92-97% on delve 1. Its really just a matter of having a lot of gear options and using correct food for situation. If you have too much acc, you're losing dps. I can't think of any relevant content on mnk you would need more acc.

As a BRD your Legato Dagger or other Daggers are pretty bad for debuffing/Lullaby/Finale since they heavily lack Magic Accuracy skill.

You should make an effort to obtain a Staff for that. 2 of the 3 options for BRD useable 119 Staffs require luck/delve 2 clears.

This can easily be augmented with 10-15 Macc (max 19) even with NQ Stones.


I have seen my fair share of MNKs kill themself on Tojil from Blazespikes. You can prevent that by actually making your Finales land. Save a ton more people by reliably sleeping Fodder mobs in Delve 2.

Dear MNKs (and other DD). Turning around is an option.

Please don't kill yourself on Tojils Blaze Spikes if he managed to get it up for some reason.

Turning around after Lahar will slow down Tojils WS frequency by a lot, making surviving much easier.



Maybe you will lose some DPS and maybe your "friends" will mock you after the run. But unless time is running really short, winning the fight beats out being the top of the parse.

Legato dagger is perfectly acceptable on mobs with less m.eva, or when combined with Troubadour on >95% of content.

Here's another little fact:

Wear Content appropriate gear.

117 weapons are retardedly easy to get, as are the 115 augmentable WKR weapons and armor.

Augment them when you can.

Don't be afraid of success.

hell dont sing double marches when soulvoicing either.

SV+victory march + brd haste on DDs will suffice.

even if you are having bad luck with lolvw, every bard should have eminent flute.

at the very least. just think about all the space you have saved!

And if you think "but I need them for my magic evasion set look at those defensive stats!" Help me survive!

Artsex Hose give 10 more magic evasion than every other piece of gear option in game if you augment them and 5% pdt, resist all the things!
OH and PDT Gear isnt just for DDs,

Mages need it too.

especaily brd and cor, dont die giving buffs.

If you fight Laevvid in Yorcia Delve don't spam lower tier nukes as suggested.

The time his PDT goes down increases proportionally with the damage you do. Use Water V or Grandfall if you have a SMN. To heal it for the full 4-6k however you have to bring him down to around 97% first with fire damage.


This will often keep its PDT gone for 50+% of the fight while keeping his TP spam low.

Tinhaspa Path A are perfectly fine as long as you know what events you actually want to do with Monk. For instance I only use my Monk for events that are Dakuwaqa or lower, accuracy will do nothing for me, STR/Attack will. That being said if you use your Monk for harder events, Tinhaspa B are by far the better option.

Some of these are good. The first one is completely wrong, though. That's an opinion and based on situation...not a fact, and to be honest, it's mostly just wrong. If you can hit 90-95% acc on wopket, which is level 128 content that flashes the hell out of you the first 25%, and you can use mnk to zerg down VD tenzen who has evasion out the *** for some reason...what exactly are you having trouble hitting?

Food: eat riverfin soup. 90 acc 80 att.

Rolls/songs/geo/rdm evasion down spell/etc are going to cap the rest for you.

Also, who the hell loses to Tojil? :P

The other tips are pretty helpful though, from a variety of posters! Very good thread idea. /thumbsup

Legato is actually preferred over your standard 119 staff when you're under T/N since it increases the duration of Elegy/Lullaby.

I think the brd mules of the world need to stop giving brd advice. That's my two cents.

whm's and brds could use an enfeebling set(built for enfeebling magic, ill post my mules sets under this for the two) to silence slow ect (as brd i silence eft, and pretty much all nms in foret)as well as appropriate dt sets that you put on when you know theres a good chance youll take damage, not after youve already started. examples: when pld #2 pulls an AA off pld#1 across the alliance to fighting spot. when a rng pulls hate. when a *** terrible sch either wont prep mata, or dies prepping mata, you, as the whm or brd, can step in and take over. discretionary roles/swaps and the excecution of these roles/swaps is what separates the men from the boys. specific points aside, players should use those types of discretionary roles/swaps as inspiration for other roles/swaps for the jobs they play and actually execute them correctly.

Speaking of Bard.

Bard has access to shell crusher and some decent accuracy gear (thanks bihu justaucorps!).

DEF-25% for 3 minutes per 1000 TP (doesn't work well on wind/ice-based monsters, though)
