I cant see how. If you retain all of the Boss's drops, and keep them on you during Cerberus/Orthus Seether, it should force the drop of the only applicable drop remaining, correct?
Since two of the same items cant drop be in your inventory and pool at the same time, if you simply stock your inventory with all of the bosses drop minus the shalwar, the 5th floor boss will have no choice but to drop the last item in his pool of drops. Thats how I got mine, or maybe I was lucky.

false, you can drop 2 time same item or 0 (drop the one you have in inventory already.

That i know, everytime you have one rare drop and that drop is 'selected' to drop from nm, the slot just come empty.
Otherwise, we would be swimming with pyxies earrings.
you can't force drops anymore, that was fixed years ago. You simply have nothing drop if you already hold a rare item that it was going to drop. It no longer rerolls the treasure pool if everyone has the rare item.

I've done BR2 4 times in a row and that body has dropped all 4 times on the HQ boss. I'm usually doing AR 2 for alex farming so BR 2 is something new that I've been trying.

I do BR II zone on Dnc or Rdm so I have th0-th2 depending on the subjob. I don't really think TH would improve the drop rate on the body though.
Its supposed to have better drop rate off hydra but **** Zhay II.

For namrus shalwar, according to bg, it is a second slot drop from nq orthrus, and first slot drop from hq orthrus.
So, th improve the chance of the second slot gear to drop. If no second slot in nq orthrus, means you lost a chance.
Similar with hq orthrus, but this one second slot is more likely to drop than nq, but anyway, just first slot is important.

Yeah, you're right. I've done over 30 cerberus and jerkin has never dropped. There have been times where nothing but a linen has dropped also. My bad

You aren't doing it right. You can get minimum of 24 Alex from triple gears on third floor alone. Also a minimum of 4 tutelary plans... Look on the bgwiki page.

I don't think the campaign starts until tonight at 11 pm PDT, you might try bhaf remnants again. If you're not maxing out on plans, definitely check bgwiki, I walked away with 7 from Arr remnants last night following the wiki's path.
Something to note, when I've done this during the past campaigns :
"Double" drop has only applied to guaranteed drops. If a mob is able to drop two Tutelary plans, with only one being 100%, you are guaranteed to get two plans. If the second plan happens to drop on that kill, you get three plans not four.

you get double the slots with the random chance on each slot, so you can still get 4, it just requires winning 2 seperate rolls

Only way I'd care is if it was double alex drop.
