Raptors In Abyssea Causing Crash.

I've recently been experiencing a rather irritating issue with Raptors in Abyssea.

I noticed it before the updates that whenever I had a few raptors (5+) in abyssea I would suddenly crash. Note: This does not affect the 2nd account I use, it ONLY affects Conagh. It does not affect any of Conagh's Mules either. . .

Has anyone Noticed this before where specific characters crash on Raptors?

Only mentioning the 2nd account as it;s clearly not an install issue.

This occurs in abyssea Mis and Ule.

A long time ago, but it stopped (mainly when I went back to XBOX)

So.. if I were to Dat. Swap them would that solve the issue?

I would need to know what dats it was and how to dat swap mind you but . . . certainly something I would do if it works.

I had a similar problem. For those who have low FPS issues around raptors I notice turning shadows off fixes it

Conagh! Was it doing to to you in Uleguerand? I was in the zone yesterday at the same time as you, picking away at raptors you wasn't training. I had no problems fighting the raptors, but I don't pull the full lot, so maybe that's why, but I did make a post about crashing on Isgebind.

Maybe it's something to do with the zone?? I did a Check Files on playonline and found 3 corrupt files, but maybe that's not the issue? I find it very coincidental that you was crashing in the exact same area as me.

I'm going to head out and see what happens.

Blue Raptors, copyied and poasted

C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ROM\5\8 renamed the copy to 7 = all raptors are Green.

Issue fixed.

In terms of Isgebind, again same pigment as raptors, perhaps swap him for the other Hydra?

C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ROM\258\11.dat sorted issue I had on Low Spec PC for him.

Makes him look like provenance Watcher. Of course its a Last ditch if the corrupted files you found don't solve the issue.

Did a ton of Isgebind tonight, looks like it was my corrupt files, not the raptors :)

Anyone can tell me how to dat swap on windows 8? I am pretty sure I have found the files, just dont want to screw things up.
