A bitter former reporter/editor/layout guy who never won an argument with a *** ad rep or a senior editor because publishers prefer money over accuracy, newsworthiness, or professional *** standards.
(On the bright side, while my degree was only good for cracking open the door for my current job so I could wedge my foot in, it got me into this current job and I make more now than anyone in a newsroom these days makes. On the downside, I may have broken my foot when I stuck it in the door, but they like that kind of thing around here; shows spunk!)

I'm kind of glad I didn't invest myself in gardening this year.
Ugh...We probably still have squash in the deep freeze that I should throw out.
Parmesan and breaded baked squash.
Grilled squash and asparagus.
Squash, carrots and brussel sprouts sauted with apple slices and bacon.
Fried squash. (Never really did that often since I hate fried squash.)
Squash added to noodle salad.
We were sick of friggin' squash! Gave some to the neighbors, but it still wasn't enough.
I need to figure out what I'm going to do with all the plums this year, and I've realized that I should have bought a second lemon tree to cross-pollinate. I don't think the little guy-girl will be producing this year.
