This is basically the last resort for any game developer that runs a subscription model. I mean seriously, rewarding players for logging in? That's desperate. The second bonanza this year was one thing, but literally giving rewards simply for signing in to the game is... sad. In fact for most successful games the opposite is true: gamers are provided rewards for not signing in for a while (like an exp boost, as a way to handicap people who play the game much more than casuals).

Whatever happened to gameplay content? I feel like they're going to start giving us scratch tickets as an incentive to sign in.

*sigh*

Something tells me there's a producer out there somewhere that not only cares about FFXI and loves it, but also has the intelligence to prevent this game from completely dying.

Anyways, this is just a rant. I am still shaking my head over this 'repeat login campaign'. Pathetic.

The worst part is that I already forgot to log in all my mules yesterday - the second freaking day. Shameful.

If I don't write stuff down I forget.

I have a really big note in front of my monitor "Login with all mules" and then I go into my main lol

I particularly like multiple chances at Ark Scythe...cause you know thats the only thing you're loging in for 10 days for anyway...

Maybe a couple months ago when Empyrean weapons were still relevant. Now not so much.

Typically used to proc Shadow of Death for red proc on any job as /war in abyssea.

There were two, they switched game then one was fired and the other was demoted.

Don't have to log off if you stay online, just zone.

i think the made the campaign so ppl would feel they at least get something out of all those maintenance issues
