How Much Effort

Just finished learning all the spells, about to finish the +2 body. Next step is to move on to the new areas and start that phase of advancement. My question is, with the new weapons that have come out/are coming out, is it still in my interest to make Almace? I'm not concerned with difficulty as I know how easy it is, but its a big time commitment for me due to my RL schedule and not having an LS to help me. Or is a smarter move for me to just work on getting whatever new weapons come from Adoulin?

If you have limited playtime, I'd say go with the new swords. Because unless you plan on taking Almace to 99, it'll be a waste of time.

Make sure your BLU skill is capped and you'll be useful for Absolute Terror.

I'd say make a delve weapon myself unless of course you plan to 99 almace. merited sword ws actually does do pretty good damage.

by personal experience, if you aim to use your BLU outside of aby more than inside, get a delve weapon and slowly refine your requiescat set by doing salvage with your LS mate with your online time.

However if you're one of those that uses BLU more in Aby for CW burn/farm etc, do get an Almace, even @ 85~90 the spike dmg from cap crit that atmas provided is no joke, average 4k minimum and DEX gear is easy to come by then MND + STR for me anyway.

(have 85 Almace and Delve Sword and I have a req set for my PLD, BLU is still debating if I should go with Realmrazer or req, either case they share about the same set apparently)

You have to get a delve weapon even if you do get your almace up since currently 99 almace is 4th place behind both swords and the club.

IF they do a respectable job at buffing Almace and it doesn't take too long or is too expensive to upgrade to be on par with delve, you'll still need one of those 3 as an off hand weapon. So my advice is get your delve sword and start upgrading delve gear.

I don't think I would ever be able to get almace to 99 given my current playtime situation. If the consensus is that anything less than almace 99 (until we see what the updates are) is not worth the effort, as soon as I finish +2 body I will move to the new stuff. Thanks for the input guys.

I find this to be pretty awesome that blu can because such a dynamic job for these NM's worked very well for the Pug and Orabon. Any NM's you guys see so far that it has not worked ffor?

If you cant make 99 almace the WoE weapon is also an option since SE are looking at unlocking CDC with that sword.
