This is nothing new. Every couple days enough anal devastated people file GM calls that one is forced to go out there. He pokes everyone in line in /tell and has them turn to face him (to prove they're there and not a bot).

Yes.
This might just be speculation but I've also heard they can send tells that don't trigger your "tell chime" or your "bot alarm".
Obviously, botting is like sex, the safest method is to not do it at all.
