i'm guessing Mnks are not using Asuran Fists as much as they used to so SE decided to throw it to Pup. If this was 5 years ago this would have been great news.
No I still think back then the dmg would have been shitty, only better now due to equipment. Only reason to have it now is for proccing in Abyssea, which is a few years too late lol.
MNKs don't even use Asuran anymore. They use Shijin.
They can shove their fists where the sun dont shine. Pummel all the things....

I'm happy we're getting Fists, never ever gonna use it, but at least it's there (where was this 5 years ago when it mattered).

Its good to know they gave us two perfectly functioning sub jobs as most of RUNs awesome abilities and GEOs spells are under 49
PUP + WHM gives full blue proc coverage with this change. It would have been a lot nicer a year or two ago. Asuran Fists is garbage, as everyone knows... we have Stringing Pummel, which is competitive with Victory Smite/Shijin Spiral inside and outside of Abyssea.

I think he meant PUP and WHM not PUP/WHM, just like how a MNK and WHM together can proc blunt completely, so too can PUP + WHM now.
Everyone will PUP/MNK for VW now!

This is too little too late really... I would have loved to have been able to do Asuran > Armor Piercer for Darkness with my Automaton. But on probably everything nowadays this will be inferior to even just doing straight up Stringing Pummel + Armor Shatterer....
Yeah, it's stupid. But I will enjoy throwing an eight-hit versus a six-hit for no reason 1/100 times.

QFT I'll probably use Asuran on PUP about as much as I do on MNK...pretty much never. But I have Stringing Pummel, Ascetic's Fury, and Shijin Spiral.
