Empyrean aftermath can't proc on Barrage; only Relics' hidden ODD can. Most likely why you aren't seeing the 5 digits.

let me correct myself up to 11 shots if you use phinus gun. but not like that is a good option over emphy/relic
You're unlikely to get Barrage anywhere close to 5 digits with a Gandiva. Without the triple damage kicking in, a 99 Annihilator's barrage would still far out damage a Gandiva barrage by a considerable amount. If you want to improve your barrages in general, use your Armageddon for them.
