Looks like we finally got an Axe that might be able to compete with a sword build. Been messing with it lately, reforged Empyrean hands seem to boost the weaponskills a bit as well.

My Mistrals and Calamity have been hitting pretty hard.

Barbarity
DMG:188 Delay:288 HP+68 STR+23 Attack+45 Axe skill +242 Parrying skill +242 Magic Accuracy skill +188 Weapon skill damage +5%

+1
DMG:189 Delay:280 HP+78 STR+28 Attack+50 Axe skill +242 Parrying skill +242 Magic Accuracy skill +188 Weapon skill damage +8%

Combined with a Blurred Shield/+1.

I'll be stacking this with a Blurred Shield+1.

DMG:189 Delay:280 HP+78 STR+28 Attack+50 Axe skill +242 Parrying skill +242 Magic Accuracy skill +188 Weapon skill damage +8%
+
DEF:65 Accuracy+20 Attack+20 Shield skill +112 "Fencer"+1 Chance of successful block +10 Weapon skill damage +7%
=

"It's just like Christmas Morning."

Yeah pretty Epic for Mistral builds. Going to do some checks and see how it stacks against Reiko Savage sets.

According to Boozerr in the other thread:
Barbarity: 110++ Smithing (leather sub)

Fire: Moonbow Steel, Moonbow Leather, Faulpie Leather, Juggernaut

HQ is gonna be a pain. On a whim I did grab the last Juggernaut on ah for 60k.

Looks like I need to finish leather sub on my friends character.

Made my axe today, I'm liking it.

Targets were Apex Bats:
At 3000TP Savage Blade> Mistral Axe
At 3000TP Savage Blade=Calamity
At 2000TP Savage Blade<Mistral Axe

With Fencer and Moonshade I'm pushing a 1000TP Bonus

So Mistral Axe is my go to at 1000TP, Calamity at 2000TP unless I plan on closing a skillchain.

Messing with Sarama my Savage Blades were sort of underwhelming compared to axe weapon skills.

I know it is only anecdotal though but parse wise it's holding it's own and is raping it all the same.

I'm thinking Reiko might pull ahead. But hey variety is the spice of life. Options are good. My favorite part about Warrior is being able to throw on any weapon and dominate with it.

Seems like it's just as good as a Tanmogayi+1. It sucks you lose Sanguine Blade for emergencies but you gain cloud splitter, and mistral is a ranged weaponskill.

Warrior gained a solid axe this update(finally).

Disclaimer: I've been using reforged empy hands with axe. For sword I've been using Sulev+1

Long time mage player here looking to get into War. To my understanding, WAR has a lot of different roles and types of damage they can dish out. For now, I am going to focus on my zerg set focused around Ragnarok and Resolution. I have seen a few different sets on a few previous posts but I would like to know your opinions of the dream tier sets for TP and WS for the above mentioned combo. Thank you. I appreciate it.

Here you go Sneakky:
ItemSet 343853

You would obviously use the +1 body and use Niqmudda ring over Ifrit when attack isn't capped and use it instead of Shukuyu when it is. (I just don't have the Niqmudda ring yet).

I personally like doing Path A on body/legs/feet and Path D on head/hands. Depending on your Accuracy and buffs go with 20Str/30Accuracy on your cape or 30Str.

Thanks! How about your TP set. I have seen a few others, but I am super curious about yours.

You need 61~64 Store Tp depending on how much you have in your Reso set. /SAM gives you 15 and then you can use 6 from your grip and then start slotting things in as need be. Near the really high end you have something like 71~72 DA in TP set with a 5-hit and it's hilarious to watch it in action. Like "Occasionally Attacks Once".

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone would post their requiescat set. I am thinking about trying the WS out in Ambuscade V2, and would like to see what people are using.

What are people using for belt on Upheaval? Caudata seems so weak but Fotia doesn't do much either. I've been messing with Ioska for the +accuracy and DA for extra hits but /shrug.

Something like this since I doubt many people have MND augmented valorous and it gets an attack penalty. fTP transfer so Fotia is BiS by far.

ItemSet 349102

EDIT: I just use fotia for the proc on Upheval and the rest is meh.

Probably better off subbing NIN and using Fettering or whatever for offhand since Fencer sucks on Requiescat

Fencer still gives the crit rate (lol) but really fencer is for the savage blade part of any given nm that needs requiscat and i'm on war.

ah yes, crit rate beats capped delay all the time

could probably swap sub slots as its mode changes, but I haven't done the flan so I have no idea if that's something he does every 5 seconds or not

Just toss a Tomahawk on it and spam Reso or Gaxe WS. For me this seems to do the most damage. Also if you have a strong Reso set then you also have a strong Vorpal blade set which is crazy powerful on WAR.

Don't see a reason to in general because DA is on both TP and during WS's and gets a 20% damage bonus to both hits when it procs. Knocking 50s off WC would look good on paper but not be particularly practical because most fights are 60s or less. The majority of the time I'll pop WC for one fight, BR for the next and then WC is usually back up again cause of running around / ect. Inside escha you have Super Revits, Random Deal and Wild Card which further reduce the need for lower recasts. If you two WAR's together they can coordinate their WC / BR usage and everything just melts.

So maybe for CPing to 2100? That's the only time I can think of where your fight monsters with an infinite amount of HP (virtually) for extremely long duration's, provided your not SCing.

STR/MND+30 Macc&Mdmg+20 and WSdmg+10.
Magical, so Acc and Atk are meaningless. And there's no dSTAT term, so either mod stars will be good (both are 40%).
And WSdmg is better than MAB because it's multiplicative with your MAB from other slots.

I hope you've learned to like SR

ItemSet 349119

Yeah practically everything good in it comes from SR. Heavy DD armor rarely has a lot of Magic Stats. Be thankful that CS has STR as a mod and no dINT, though dSTR would of been nice.

My Weapon's augments are
DMG +19
MAB +20
WSD +2

It's a special Axe I made for doing CS in CP parties. If I need the accuracy then I have some Reisen T2 Axe's with lots of accuracy on them.

They won't beat SR though because those pieces have MAB/MACC on them naturally then another 15 is added on via augment. Odyssean has low MAB augments outside of random DM stuff. The Eschite legs are the only ones you could reasonable replace as those only have MAB 25 on them.

Correct, but they can be a good place holder until you get ideal SR augs though right?
