I think I left my brain in bed this morning. For the life of me I can not figure out the right amount of Store TP a Ranger needs, with a 582 Delay gun, for 4 hit as /WAR and /SAM. I am using the formula for TP calculation from Wiki, but my result is just plain wrong everytime (unless I really do need 162 Store TP, but I wouldn't believe it.)

Does anyone know the amount(s) off the top of their head, or can tell me what I am doing wrong? This is starting to bother me now lol.

You need +51 STP on /WAR to get 25TP/hit, +36 with /SAM...

However with Scout's Beret +2 store TP isn't really needed as much as it was before.

That is more attainable than I thought. And I'm wondering where I was going wrong to end up with 162, lol. Thanks a lot.

When it lands.
For each recycle merit it adds +10 +6 STP to your shot if recycle procs. +25% from merits, +20~30% scout's beret, +5 from Libeccio Mantle = 55% chance without adding the base amount RNG gets from the trait(Because I can't find that info).

55%+ chance at +50 +30 STP from 1 piece of gear while saving ammo... Ohhh yeah :D

how you get there? a 582 delay weapon gets 14.8 TP base x 1.51 =22.3 TP, not 25. Or your 51 Stp take something else into account? like that recycle? (i am no rng so no clue lol)

You aren't adding the extra +240 delay from the bullet.

Suddenly storing that piece of trash (at 75 cap) rather than tossing is looking like a good decision!

Bolded part is incorrect. The Scout's beret +2 augment adds +1 TP per Recycle merit level for shots Recycle procs on. So with 5/5 merits you would get your base TP+5 for Recycled shots. Would be nice if it was +10 sTP per merit level though.

Hmmm this is true, I don't know why I thought 10stp = 1 TP... It's actually +6 stp per merit, and it would give +30sTP not +50 for 5/5 merits.

I remember reading 1stp = 0.1TP back in the day.. I suppose that was wrong. Should of checked to make sure >.<;

Actually the augment has nothing to do with Store TP. It is just a flat +1 TP gained per merit level. If it added to your sTP you would see decreasing returns from the augment as you increase sTP in other gear slots.

Don't mean to hijack topic Aeyela, just didn't wanna make a new thread.

With 90 delay ammo and a 490 delay weapon, you add them together right? To make 580.. Then I calculate my STP from there?

Yes, with 580 total delay your TP/hit without any store TP would be 14,8.

Then would this allow me to gain a 4 hit subbing Sam..

Above set and /SAM would be 36(gear)+15(/SAM) store TP, so 1,51*14,8=22,3 TP/hit. Four hits landed in that set would be 4*22,3=89,2 TP so you would need a recycle proc on 3 out of 4 hits for that to be a 4hit.

Yep. This set 4hits with only one Recycle proc and /SAM. Keep in mind though that to maintain your 4hit you can only lose 4 sTP for weapon skills if only the main hit lands. You can lose 18 sTP for WS if all 3 JR hits land but I wouldn't count on that.

Edit: On the other hand you could just hope for two Recycle procs instead of just one and WS in a bit less Store TP.

In my experience, w/ Gandiva it's better to aim for a 5-hit since you have to swap more of your Ratk/Racc for StP slots. You also have to give up Fencer and Berserk from /war.
