Heck, I hope you fight better than the tarus on Rag server. I been on their just about three months and since I have due to expidctionary forces they only had one week pf 1st place.
Even if my stick doesn't beat you, Kaustra will.
Better get over here quick before they nerf Kaustra to a Bio 2 Bio 1 effect and give it refresh!

Out of curiosity, is 4x QD from a decked out 99 Death Penalty survivable? I checked back and saw on the previous page about Armageddon but DP has the +60% QD damage over that.
Granted there isn't a lot of them out there. I know a friend who has one and past that one other person (not that I've actively checked to see if there's more)

How would Spellcast help you in a fight where you can not swap gear?
And Windower? As long as you aren't in party with your opponent the party TP isn't viewable. Would having timers displayed really give someone -that- much of an edge, someone who has been playing their job the entire time they have played FFXI will have no problem not having this available. I can't think of anything else that Windower would really bring to the PvP table here, feel free to learnify me though as I don't use it much myself.
Don't even say clipper unless you want a healthy dose of this...

Spellcast is such an oddball one to throw in there given that you can't swap gear (well you can but the penalty for doing so essentially forfeits you the match).
Most of the windower plugins aren't going to give you massive advantage either. Distance being a possible exception. I guess HP % could possibly help too.
And I'm pretty certain 3rd party tools past that aren't gonna be allowed anyway.

First off Urteil I am reading this and finding it all quite entertaining.
Your DRK is quite impressive. I am glad to see this kind of action when it comes to facing one other.
Have you ever faced a PUP/SCH? It is quite the hefty combo. Deadly and Sinister. Laugh as you may, it can be good!
I bet Urteil your mog house is full of people's heads with an expression of :O on it because they do not realize the sheer power and chaos you cause on the battlefield. ;) I say good luck to you I am sorry that we can not have this fight but it gives you an idea how crazy job combos can really be :)

Truth, Windower would only allow you to be in a window, thats already built in by SE.
Spellcast, you cannot swap gear in PVP.
3rd PT plug ins? TP view? Auto inventory? No, just no, you sound like such a scrub, you wouldn't last a second against him if he were to play blindfolded.

You can swap gear, just not as efficiently as outside of pvp, so you kinda have to think carefully if and when you do it.

Death Penalty is one of the more interesting options I've mused about facing.
However there are some disadvantages to this weapon over Armageddon:
Namely that Corsair does not have access to Voidstorm and cannot employ the fireshot + Wildfire combo to boost WS damage while getting a nice beefy amount of damage form the QD itself.
Also this weapon might make Leaden Salute barely equal to Wildfire if not slightly below.
It would reduce the margin of error for me to about zero, however it would not provide anything obscene like the ability to one shot me consistently.
There are actually planned buffs to my dark magic capabilities arriving soon, I wonder what changes these will bring?

I fight in party with the enemy with as many people as possible (often full alliances)to provide witnesses to the HP/MP/TP levels of both combatants. So there are no shenanigans on my part or their part and everything is in plain sight.
Everyone can see where the HP/MP/TP was, where it went, and what transpired from the first second until the end.
That aside:
It really isn't that hard to count the melee swings of your enemy to predict TP usage. I'd say after years of doing this I can properly predict anyone's TP gain assuming I've seen every action they have performed.
I have a quick reference chart (or did) of the common weapons and tp/hit for easy reference to the amount of hits that would have to be landed (barring my dealing any damage to them) before a WS was possible.
