ok. as the title states. this thread is for the user created update.
if you was to make an update for the game, what would you include?
or adjust?

Here is some content i'v had my heart set on for a wile, the guild/parry skill up was on the list. but thankfully that was taken care of! :D

OCT 17 2012 (JST) Version Update!

**Storage!
*Mog furnishings
furniture now has its own palce, no longer will your
inventory suffer, enjoy decorating your moghouse however
you please!, without the clutter. (limited to 80 furniture peaces
Per mog house)
* Veteran satchel,
the first reward to be implemented for those
who have been around a wile, this reward is for any player older
than 1 year of subscription. and can be expanded to 80 via a
series of quests similar to the gobbie bag. but with key items.
rewarded from varus already existing BCNMs/KSNMs/NMs
this satchel is similar to the mog satchel in the way you can
access it anywhere

**Environment
*clutter-free paths
we took notice our world was a bit... eh. messy so
we hired a crack team of landscapers to go around cleaning
dirty old roots, stones, rubble and whatever else is
laying around making getting around a hassle, this basically
means no more stumbling or issues climbing stairs, climbing over
roots and such
*Weather
in conjunction with the global worming. the volcanoes of Vana'diel
are more active than ever. thus making fire weather considerably
more common

**Quests
*added mini quests for CoP and RoZ unlocking a new series of
Trial of the magians and unlocking the ability to upgrade of
for some sweet sweet gear!

**Item related
* new gear to be added, rewards for new Trial of the magians
here is a wonderful
example!
Trial 10001 Collect 20 Promethia rods from
the battlefield: "promithia V2.0"
reward: Raja's ring +1

*Ores and Logs stack!
no more hassling with a cluttered up mess
nor several trips to haul the goods to your crafters!

**Voidwatch adjustments
*claim and drops
We failed to realize that not everyone is fortunate to be able to
obtain a Relic/Empyrean or Mythic weapon. and the WoE versions were
feesable. until some recent adjustments. making coins no longer
able to be obtained via individual mobs. we relize this was a
mistake and hurt the soloists and lowman groups of Vana'diel
coin purses will still remain a reward from bosses
however coins will again drop from individual mobs
and mob claims and drops will act like normal mobs. (example,
someone standing in the battlefield NOT in your party will not be
able to fight the mob you have claimed or obtain drops unless
invited to the party)

**Battle related
*Tp loss from too far
No longer will you lose TP if you attempt to weaponskill from a
distance!
*Auto-Regen and Auto-refresh modified!
the job traits Auto-regen and Auto-refresh have been modified
there is now a level modifier to increase the potency depending
on the level. at level 99 they are 3HP/MP a tick

**Harvesting related
*we have been noticing a lack of activities in the harvesting of
resources. we found the process to be a bit dull and figured we
should review the system for changes. which will include
* resource vains remaining for several more rounds of harvesting
*less unwanted resources such as beast-man armor
*adjusting drops making items such as nuts/creampuffs obtained
via harvesting rather than logging

I kinda like the furnishing idea. Make furnishing items similar to key items once you give them to your moogle. As for the "Veteran Satchel," I really dislike this one. I think it would be very unfair to give some people this option but basically tell others "No you can't have it." The other storage upgrades currently available don't require a specific playtime requirement. They involve Fame and other things, but those are able to be acquired. 1 year of play time is something that you have no control over attaining. Maybe it could be level/quest related, something that you can achieve through playing, rather than through waiting for 1 year to pass.

While I like the idea of the clutter-free paths, that would require so much zone overhaul that it will more than likely never happen. I'd love it if they did, cause my Taru leg stumps get stuck on everything, but yea that's just too much to ask for I think.

Ditto to what Ophannus said...

The only other thing I have is on the Auto-Regen/Refresh trait: They do already upgrade when you're a higher level. It's called Auto Refresh/Regen II. :P

Just my 2¢ :)

Coins dropping from the baby mobs again? Sure why not. It would make doing lowman on the lower tiers worth it for sure.
Claiming mobs in WoE though? No thank you.

Everything else sounds awesome. Wish they would do most of that.

Battlefield Entrance Requirement Adjustments

Nyzul Isle, Salvage and Assault party requirements have received a reduction. To increase accessibility of said battlefields we will be reducing the required party size from 3 party members to 1 party member for the mentioned battlefields.

If they gave furnishings their own storage space, that'd free up more than enough inventory that I wouldn't care about an extra satchel.

My ideas (not previously addressed):

*Ranged Attack Adjustments*

Players with access to weaponskills associated with a ranged weapon will no longer be required to engage a monster to activate these abilities. If a player attempts to lay claim to a foe using one of these abilities (the monster is still in it's idle, "white" mode and has no enmity towards the player or their party members), a minute (*My-NOOT, not 60secs*) delay will exist to preserve the fair ability of others to engage the monster.

Rangers and Corsairs will gain a native growth of the Recycle trait, and will also see an increase to the maximum skill they can obtain on ranged weapons.

In attempt to increase their usage among players, several weapons designed for throwing will have their damage raised.

Arrows that will drain the Hit Points of attacked foes will be added.

*Character Models*

New Hairstyles will be added and made accessible to the various faces across Vana'Diel. Players will be able to alter their appearances at will via an NPC to be added to each of the 3 nations' home city.

*Battlefields*

To ease difficulty, slain foes in Legion battlefields will now grant short time extensions.

Players who have cleared specific halls will see an increase in the amount of Legion Points received by slain foes in those halls.

Lamps in Nyzul Isle assault missions will now be numbered to allow players to more easily accomplish these tasks within the allotted time.

Additional Voidwatch battlefields will have Heavy Metal Plates/Pouches, Riftdross and Riftcinder added to their available spoils.

The rate at which voidstones are replenished by Voidwatch Officers will be shortened by certain key items that will be available for purchase from the Officers after certain foes have been slain.

TL;DR vers: Ease Legion, RNG/COR WS's w/o engaging, use less Voiddust.

Assault Points Adjustment

You can now earn assault points from Nyzul Isle completions. These points are useable to buy Remnants Permits.

I hate that you basically can only do Nyzul Isle OR Salvage, but not realistically both...

I think that would be overkill with pouches, but wouldn't mind seeing single plates have a similar drop rate to petrifacts on some of the higher mobs. Also make pouches range from 10-25, nothing crushes the dream of 95+ empy like a pouch for 3... 1500 at the current drop rate has alot of people I know not even bothering and just selling plates for gil.

Maybe it would be overkill, but why is that unreasonable, I mean, these trials are horrendous when compared to mythic/relic. If they were to do this plates would drop substantially so it's not like people would get mad rich. Well, maybe in the first few days of release, but meh. No point pondering on this further, since jack ***is happening anyway

The trial actually isn't bad compared to relics. Mythics is Mythics, I would leave that on its own.

Edit: It does eat me up inside though since I farm HMP for my gun and I never get any pouches. Did Qilin like 50 times, got one pouch out of all 50 but so many Fajin boots, Houyi's gorgets and 1 Coruscanti. So sure it could drop more often and the ammount you get from a pouch shouldn't be a minimum of like 3 but more like 10. I just know I can also craft, do Dynamis and other VW for drops I can sell to buy plates.

I get why they did it (to make all RME weapons roughly the same difficulty to 75-99), but at the rate they drop currently you can do multiple rounds of 6 fights and still never see a single plate (while walking away with ~40 petrifacts). And when you consider the time it takes to get alliance together, get to rift, kill the mob, replace deserters, go back, kill again, and walk away empty-handed... it's really disheartening.

Currently on Sylph, Plates are 100k, Dross 200, Cinder 1mil. So to get to 99, it'd cost between 162-210million in gil/value of drops, a little under double the cost of a relic.

I'd just like to see more 95-99 empies, and have a shot at my own, before VW goes dead.

In am effort to allieviate congestion, the following meassures will ve taken from anything after the level 75 cap was broken.

Anyone who levelled MNK,PLD or NIN will have the job reset and permalocked at 0.

Ditto for all MNKs that had brown belt equipped at 75.

We have also created tweaks to POL that will not allow WHM mules to be run off the same IP address (also covers proxies)

Anyone who did not have serious mythic progress before the level cap raise will be beaten, flogged, called fat,be the victim of no less than 600 "yo momma" joke, flogged again and be permabanned from any endgame weapon fromToAU.

Beastmaster will recieve negative TH,meaning anything killed witb only a NST touching it,will yield no drops

I see the cinder/dross (especially cinder) situation as being more stupid than the plate situation. This could at least be partly remedied by making them drop from all the T6s.

For mythics and the Nyzul-or-Salvage

*Assault Adjustments*

The requirements to obtain "Captain" rank will be relaxed.

Assault Tags will accumulate at faster rates based on a players current assault rank. Additionally, the restriction on the maximum number of tags the NPC Whatshisface will have available will be removed.

#1 I can agree on at least to the point of "Open all day" not 8-21 or w/e. I just wish they restocked anything that can be sold to/from them and at a MUCH higher amount per day and changed the gap between price min/max. Buying mats at one price one day and 12-15x that price the next day is beyond HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE.

#2 Only on certain synthesis that require difficult to obtain items like drops-off-NM-only items or ones that are capped say 10-20levels below your current skill level.

#3 I'd put single plates on any T3 or higher in all paths, and pouches on all final-tier mobs. I'd even say add 1 plate as 100% drop from trove on the Radiance fights (+ your 3 drops) and 1 pouch on Provenance Watcher himself.
