TP Sets Comparison

Which of these TP sets would provide a better return assuming I'm /SAM and also which one if I'm /WAR



Curious to Sylvan Scarf v Hope Torque.
Bucc v Scout's Belt
Vulcan's /SAM v Aluh /WAR

Rancor Collar
Scout's
/war

Sylvan's scarf
Buccaneer's
Aluh's /WAR (No more place for /SAM)

Only place for rng/sam is with annihilator these days in scenarios where you are spamming coronach while controlling hate. Otherwise your roll is to do damage without holding back and /war is best for it.

And never use a staff /war

Why use Scarf over Rancor?

And 4str vs 7ratt 5agi seems to favor Scout's

Now, unless Relic's aftermath works differently from Empy's aftermath, I think there's no purpose of "Spamming" Coronach. You shoot your Coronach with highest TP available to you, then use Last Stand to maximize the damage output until the AM effect goes off. Rinse and repeat.

Because Rancor was not in the options. Probably it's the best option in paper. But depends on what you fight, if enmity is never an issue and the fight is rather long (so you have more chance to shoot), then Rancor's pulls further. But if it's like Qilin where you only average 9-11 shots per fight (sometimes you can WS more than you do normal shot), then it's just a dice roll.

It's about equal, but I'm siding with Buccaneer's because of -enmity.
I personally use Crudelis, however. Buccaneer's has been stored long in my Porter Moogle. Racc was almost never be an issue on the stuff I brought my RNG.

Can I get some more opinions on this stuff? Right now I'm at:

Head: Sylvan Gapette +2
Body: Sylvan Caban +2
Hands: Sylvan Glovelettes +1 (obvious and easy fix to get them to +2)
Legs: Sylvan Bragues +2
Feet: Sylvan Bottillons +2
Waist: Buccaneer's Belt
Back: Libeccio Mantle
Neck: Peacock Charm (easy fix to get that to Sylvan Scarf)
Rings: Rajas Ring and Dragon Ring
Ears: Fox Earring and Volley Earring

And feeling gimpy. Honestly, I'm the only person I've ever seen run around in a gimpy old dragon ring and fox earring. Oops. Replacing fox with clearview shouldn't be a problem, but what about volley?

Right now I'm also using a staff and gatta strap, I will be upgrading that to a knife and shield with /war. I'm debating between Oneiros knife and Aluh jambyia. I will use Aluh regardless until I get my grubby paws on Oneiros just because I currently have Aluh and not Oneiros. But I just haven't heard any good arguments for why one is better than the other yet. Some people say the str, att, and crit + are boss on Aluh, some say Oneiros has better crit damage going on. Clue me in? :-(

Now obviously this is just a tp set. WS sets are a whole other issue for other threads.

Which ranged weapon are you using? That'd be a good start.

Oh sorry. I'm building both emp gun and bow. I have nothing better to do in-game. xD I'm on Tammuz for the gun, and on Lamprey Lord for Gandiva, but I already have all the fistule discharges and a few bukhis wings, so I'll probably finish the bow first.

Edit: I also feel silly for using Sylvan feet +2 for bow, since it has marksmanship on it but not archery. /blush. Any suggestions would rock my socks!

For Gandiva this will work, it's a 5 hit /war w/o food: Swap in a Bellona's ring for Jalzahn's

And the reason for Aluh over Oneiros would be Aluh still gives you the 10 str when you don't crit.

They did. I threw away Ulthalam's to get Jalzahn's about 2 months ago I think.
